"If I could give this hotel a negative star review I would. Upon arrival we walked into a hot, dingy musty smelling room. My daughter went into the bathroom and came right back out to tell me there was urine in the toilet and on the floor. One of the beds had dirty sheets, the carpet was filthy and there was a clothing tag on the floor proving the floor had not been vacuumed. I went downstairs to report the dirty room and the clerk said “ oh I’m sorry” and handed me a thing of Clorox wipes. It was late and we had nowhere else to go so we stayed and checked out the next morning. They refused to refund us for any part of our stay including the nights we didn’t stay. After speaking with other Ole Miss parents they started telling me their horror stories… including the lady who said there was a used condom on the floor of the bathroom when they checked in. This hotel has been turned in to the health department repeatedly yet it’s still open. Do NOT stay here unless foreign DNA is your thing."
"Disgusting they have roaches!!!! You will see them crawling on the walls. The only reason we booked at a super 8 was because it was the only hotel available in Oxford. So we drove 30 mins to a nice hotel. These rooms are outdated, they stink of smoke. We ran out of that room and got our money back. This place needs condemed!!!"
"Just got back from an awful stay at this place and will never go back. The room was extremely dirty - the floor and all the surfaces and the furniture was old and badly needed replaced. The bedspread and sheets had stains and also needed replaced. Most of the plug ins didn’t work, and there were none near the desk. No USB ports on the lamps to easily charge things like most hotels have. Very shady characters around this hotel, including one sitting on the sidewalk by my car at night. It was extremely noisy as well. This hotel should be completely overhauled or closed."
"The carpet in my room was soaking wet and the neighbors were super loud. Slamming doors all night and then blaring music at 6am. Didn't feel fully safe at night. My door did not have a lock either so I placed a chair under the door handle. Wouldn't stay again most likely."
"Bed Bugs. Bed bugs. Bed bugs. *Room 242- had bed bugs. Room 248- had bed bugs. Since Ole Miss students were moving in, other hotels were booked. We offered to accept a king room if they had one (my son and I would share). This room was inside near the lobby. It was cleaner (but not spotless), and there were no bed bugs. I'm highly allergic to bed bugs, so I would have had welps if they had bitten me. The previous rooms were outside entrance rooms. The staff did offer to change our room, and they were apologetic. Not sure if they will rent out the rooms again, plus the bugs will start spreading to all rooms eventually if they don't get the problem nixed. I have reported it to the health department. Also, in the morning, wondered why I had allergy problems- found mold in the air conditioning unit. Just best to avoid this place, but I understand if you can't because prices in Oxford on football weekends or event weekends are exorbitant. Just check closely for bed bugs. Those little buggers are hard as heck to get rid of if they hitchhike home with you."
