"I ordered 5 pallets of 419 Bermuda for the Country Club of Canton & it couldn’t have been easier! Southern sod arrived exactly when they said they would a couple days after I ordered which is fast! They arrived just hours after a destructive storm hit in which trees & power lines were down everywhere… I was very thankful for this since conditions could have easily been used as an excuse not to come & it would have been completely understandable! We had labors about to be on site who we had to pay sod or no sod so again I appreciated them going out of their way to get it to us. They also accommodated us by dropping it off in multiple locations on the golf course which saved us hours of transporting since 500 sqft pallets stress our front loader tractor! The price for both the sod & the delivery delivery was very reasonable… WELL WORTH saving wear on ur truck & just so much easier! The quality of the 419 was/is excellent & the cut/rolls were as good as I’ve seen… I work at a golf course so I’ve seen a bunch just saying! My only regrets were that I didn’t call them sooner & that I didn’t buy more with this delivery! I highly recommend Southern Sod & will be using them exclusively in the future! Thanks guys for making life easier & improving the course!"

"Good pricing, good grass, cut out the middle man/landscaper and go straight to the source. Lay your own sod and save a ton of money. Lay sod same day, don't be like the complaining lady who left a review here and said the grass was terrible and dead, you can't let it sit around for days and days on the pallets it's delivered on. The top six pieces of sod I received on each pallet were a little dried out but survived just fine, this is to be expected after sitting on a truck for a day or two. You order sod, you lay sod same day of delivery. No way around it. Water, water, water!"

"Terrible customer service! If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. We had 3 pallets of saint Augustine grass (of a total of 24 pallets) with fungus involving over 3/4 of pallet. After asking for reimbursement or simply 3 new pallets, we were told by the owner that they will not replace it, nor was it their problem. Unfortunately, even though the affected pallets weren’t laid, this fungus has since spread to involve a significant part of my property which is currently being treated. We had planned to buy soil from them as well (a total of 20 cubic yards) and after delivering only 1/2 the soil on the same day that the sod was delivered (Friday), they informed us that they wouldn’t have the remaining 1/2 until several days later leaving us very little options right before the weekend. One of the employees of southern sod who delivers dirt ran over my irrigation water pipes in the process of dumping dirt, which broke it in 3 places and ended up costing me 400$. Finally, after purchasing 20 more pallets of grass from a different company, it was clear that the cost and quality of southern sod grass is poor. These 20 pallets of sod were laid 5 days after delivery (same as the amount of time it required to lay southern sod grass due to weather) and none had fungus. There were 2 pallets with yellow tinged grass and the company is replacing them for us. All in all, one of my the worst companies I have done business with in MS. The purpose of this review is intended to illustrate my personal experience with this company to inform customers looking for a reputable sod company in the area. It is not intended to become a verbal exchange between the customer (myself and my husband) and the Owner. However, the owner's response which he/she so diligently posted on google review further demonstrates the consistent terrible customer service displayed on behalf of this company. It also demonstrates that he/she did not actually LISTEN to my complaint as there are several discrepancies noted which are too exhaustive to outline in this review. I am assuming that whoever wrote this response is too short-sided to see that most customers want good customer service when they spend over 5 grand on sod. Believe it or not, I don't expect that all 24 pallets of grass be shamrock green on day 5, but I do expect that none of them have fungus growing within them consuming over 2/3 of the pallet. I strongly encourage viewers to use this company at your own risk, as they will claim no responsibility for the service or product they provide! This business has 3 reviews on google, so I strongly doubt that there are "thousands" of satisfied customers. And rest assured, there are superior companies with significantly better customer service and quality grass in the area which I have found since this terrible experience. Good luck!"
