"Stood there for 5 mins nobody came after squeezing should have just walked out"
"The guy working could have been a little nicer but overall very organized."
"I have always have had a good experience with Dollar General's. Friendly staff, decent prices for the convenience, shelves are stocked and the stores are always clean. The night I moved into my new home I came into this store because it was close by and I needed to make a quick repair in the home. I am unsure if Dollar General's new policy doesn't allow service dogs anymore but if not I will not return. The customer service I had received upon check out I will highly recommend everyone to take the extra few minutes to drive to Walmart. It was around 8:30 pm and I had my nephew and niece along with her service dog. Upon checkout there was a middle age guy working the register who didn't bother saying hello ask how I was doing he simply said next time leave your little dog at home. I explained to him that the dog was a service dog for my niece that was asleep in the car and my nephew was watching her. The cashier scuffled at me and called me a liar. I then asked to speak to the manager. A young lady peeked around the corner after the cashier called her name laughing . I then asked him his name in front of the manager because he was not wearing a name tag and he responded with no thank you he was not interested. I then asked the manager if this is appropriate to speak to customers this way. The manager told me that she didn't see anything wrong with the way he was speaking. The manager then told him that he had to give me his name. I explained the situation to the manager. After the cashier caused a scene she told me that all service dogs have to have a vest. I apologized for not having the vest and any inconvenience because we just finished moving in the neighborhood that evening that It would only take about 7-10min to go to the house and get the proper documentation and her vest. The cashier laughed and told me I was lying that I would have identification in my wallet. The manager repeated what the cashier said and I told them I had just moved into my home my niece and nephew were helping me move. I had new furniture just moved in just a couple of hours ago that the dog was just cleaned that's why she was damp and I would gladly go down the Rd to get the proper documentation. The manager told me her son was epeleptic and told me he has a service dog. I asked them for future customers to please ask them for proper documentation on service dogs instead of being rude and ugly and humiliating the customers. I was completely mortified and glad that my niece had fallen asleep and did not have to experience this. I highly recommend every other dollar general and this is the only property I have had any issues at all with. I will never enter this store again and will make sure everyone is aware of this situation to save them the humiliation and disrespect. Please post a sign at the front door saying what all documentation that company requires and that vests are required on all service dogs at all times."
"Normally like this Dollar General I do like the fact that they have a self-checkout to make things a little quicker instead of having to wait in line forever. But I pull up there today because I need coffee I live 30 miles from town, and it is the closest store to my house. . I get almost in the door before I am told by three people standing outside that they are closed for the day???? Seriously"
"The lady that's working right now was extremely rude to me. I was appalled. So I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I do hope they find people with better customer service that aren't rude to random people for no reason."
