"We drove 5 hours to celebrate my son's 21st birthday, mostly to eat at iconic restaurants and to experience the Mississippi Aquarium. The food at Bubba Gumps was awesome! The service, not so much. After we ordered our food we went into the gift shop and I found something to purchase. No one was available to pay for it though so I brought it to our table and put it on top of the table so anyone could see. A guy came and asked if I wanted to buy it and asked if I wanted it put on our final ticket, I said yes. The service took way too long, however, to even order so the guy came back and asked me to pay for it separately. I did. It took about 40 minutes to get our food, after ordering. We didn't get any more attention until our bill was delivered. We wanted to order dessert because we were celebrating my son's 21st birthday (and mine, but mine wasn't important). We never got that opportunity. We were rushed into paying the bill and leaving. The food was praise worthy but without good service it just sits in the background, much like my son's 21st birthday."

"The clam chowder is wonderful, and the waitstaff is top shelf. I had the fried oysters, but the coating was so thick and salty as to be nearly inedible. Oysters are a very delicate seafood needing a very light and crispy coating. I peeled the coating off, and the oysters were very tasty. My husband had the fried flounder, which was amazing. I'd go back but definitely not getting the oysters."

"Friendly staff. Drinks are great, was great to get the souvenir cups with our mix drinks. But the food was lacking. The shrimp didn't taste fresh. Loved the decor on the walls and that they had the movie playing."
