"This was the worst experience I have had with a rental car company. When I first arrived to pick up my car, the young lady tried to charge me $50 more than my agreed contact agreement - saying sometimes the rate jump up. Then, she escorted to a mid size vehicle, when I purchased a standard size vehicle- with no apology. She said she didn't have a standard size on the lot and I would have to go to the airport if I wanted a different car. Then when I tried to drop off the car, the same young lady was 20 minutes late to work. No customer service skills. Awful experience I expected more from Avis."

"I have to admit that I was a bit late because I did get lost on my way; I arrived at 0210 pm vs. 0130 pm for my original reservation. There was no one in the store although the operation hours is shown as until 0300 pm for weekly days. Called the Avis help desk. Initially somebody answered but told me to hold on when I explained the situation. I gave up 30 mins later without any further response. I attempted another Avis at the Jackson airport but apparently they do not have any connection with this location and cannot offer any help as they did not have any available vehicle (which is understandable). That is the time when I checked google map review and I found similar complaints even with somebody who showed up on time. It messed up my plan and I had to cancel a meeting and a non-refundable hotel reservation. This was a terrible experience."

"If I could give less than a Star I would!!! I'm so upset! I make a reservation for 12 and prepaid but I get a call at 11:50 saying they are closing at 12. I was never told they were closing early and only put 12 down as the earliest I could be there. I have never rented from someone that said if you prepay and are a minute or longer late that your car is no longer yours. After 3 calls to customer service I am now not entitled to a refund and I have to pay $310 instead of $130 bc i'm renting the same car, for the same amount of time, from the airport! If you prepay for a car, why would it be available to anyone else??? I get if you don't prepay that someone else could get it but I can't begin to understand their logic or their customer service. I have never felt so belittled and treated like a child!!! Absolutely the last time I ever use Avis or any of their Sister companies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
