Mario's Italian Restaurant & Bar

"The best Italian in Hattiesburg. I looked up the best restaurant in Harrisburg and this was the spot. I ordered the Mario's Special (chicken and shrimp pasta) with a glass of Kendall Jackson, the food was good and the wine pairing was excellent. My waitress, Nesa, was attentive and on top of drink refills. Will definitely eat again here next time I'm in Hattiesburg."

"We came here for a business holiday party recently and it was our first time at the restaurant. the server was awesome with our crowd, including some special needs. I was really impressed with those garlic kjot bread, Warning thr Ribeyes are not trimmed so they will have the fat in them. I ate a bit of my Carbone I think it was with mushrooms and Alfredo and pasta. took it home and trimmed the meat, added some more pasta and a lbs of steamed garlic and had 2 more meals from the one serving. Oh and pizzas are really good as well. Serving sizes seemed big. Desserts were amazing. Tiramsu and Cannolis we tried. Cannolis were heavy you may want to split one. Meal for 5 of us no drinks but also 1 appetizer shared and 5 desserts was 159 but we did have 4 more meals in leftovers. Meal for 4 with 2 glasses of wine and dessert and 1 appetizer was 179, with 2 meal leftovers."

"Restaurant was clean, rustic, family type atmosphere. I had the chicken madomia. I was very disappointed. My pasta and chicken were smothered in Alfredo sauce. The broccoli was so overcooked. It was like a mushy blanket over the whole dish. There were no Italian flavors at all. We also had Mario's favorite. It had a ton of sausage, but no meatballs. Third dish was shrimp fra diavolo. She said it wasn't spicy at all. The bread was even cold. One and done for us."

"Just the atmosphere from walking in the door is so inviting. Menu is easy to understand and prices or awesome. Portion size is crazy. I was half through my dish, and it felt like I still had a lot left. Sitting is comfortable and spacious. A must see."
