I should have left with money but The second one was over cook on outside and still raw inside. Lima beans and rice were horrible had a funny taste. The food is not good at all."

"The absolute worst place I have eaten in the south for Soul Food. I feel cheated. This place came highly recommended by a lady I met at the welcome center. The food was amazing. I told the lady in the restaurant I traveled from CA and specifically chose this place. I saw Potato Salad, Mac n Cheese that wasn't going to be available until the next day. The co-owner have me some after begging and it was literally not even two ounces for $4. It was OK, wouldn't buy it again. It had sour pickles in it instead of sweet pickles. The menu vs. portion size is overpriced. We ordered the peach cobbler for $6. Again, exceptional but the portion sizes are very small. The bread pudding was an actual serving size. It was perfect. I feel the price gauge. I asked to meet the owner who was her husband and highly recommended by the woman at the welcome center and I believe this woman ( who introduced herself as HIS WIFE) at the restaurant thought the woman at the welcome center was trying to date her husband or I would want to date him or something. She needs to be less insecure. Needless to say, he was there but "unavailable". UPDATE: Came back the next day. Mac n Cheese was flavorless, yams were ok. CORNBREAD was absolutely HORRIBLE and literally the size of my pinky finger. Three slices of Yams...THREE. Peach cobbler was burned. This could be the "IT" spot but the owner's wife is a penny pincher."
