Gumbo Pot

"I was in Vicksburg for work and decided to try the Gumbo Pot for dinner. The place was packed however, we were seated quickly. The service was slow but with only one server on the side of the restaurant she was doing her best. I ordered the 8 crab legs clusters. The cluster were on the smaller side but they were cooked well and had good flavor. Another person in my group had a Steak. The steak was ordered medium but came out med-well to well done. The flavor was still good but over cooked. I would definitely eat there again. But be patient and expect to wait a little, the food was worth it."

"My husband and I visited this establishment a week ago and the customer service was great at all. My husband tried on different occasions to ask the waitress something and she threw us off to the young lady running the cashier. I'm not sure if it was because of the color of our skin but she was making sure everyone around us was OK and constantly checking on them meanwhile my husband tried to ask for something she didn't respond. Food was amazing the young man in the back did an amazing job preparing our food."

"We had the steak/shrimp and Taste of the Bayou. The gumbo was absolutely phenomenal, the red beans and rice great as well. My wife's steak was a perfect medium, the sides of green beans and baked potato salad were on point as well. Yes they are a bit short staffed but who isn't these days. Bring your patience and your appetite, this place is WELL worth the wait!"
