"Flat spots, most sites are pretty big, some more private than others. One star down for the faucet in the woman's bathroom running continuously, the full garbage not emptied for over 24 hours and getting angrily talked to by the host for asking to buy firewood. The host sign always said they were off duty so when we finally realized this, the guy let us know how overworked he was and all the wood he had was his personal. Just a weird interaction."
"We made some great memories here, this camp ground has running water, electricity, multiple bathrooms pull through camp sites for RVs or trailers, large and small sites for tent camping and some cool hiking trails that go around the camp site. Some nice private sites here and the wind was low. I would definitely recommend checking this place out."
"Very disappointed in the overall condition of this campground when arriving the first week of June. Grass was high and not cut anytime recently, literally piles of trash at a site near ours (under the dumpster too), no host on duty for the 2 days we were there as well. For being a National Campground, it's not being run very well at all! While there we saw people from out of state and out of country, I was embarrassed that this was their impression of Oregon. Won't be back to this one anytime soon. :-("
"I love this campground! My dad took me here when I was a teenager and I just took my own daughter here for her first trip to the dunes. First of all YES you can hear the noise from ATVs on the dunes, but seeing as that’s what the majority of the campers there (including myself) are there for, it’s kind of a given. ATVs aren’t allowed to be ridden in this campground so that helps keep noise down a bit. The campground is clean, the host was very friendly and informative, and most campsites have good privacy given how close some are. It could be difficult if you have a longer travel trailer because the paved driveway is pretty narrow. Most sites also have a lot of shade even though it never really gets too hot. The bathrooms are relatively clean and there are no showers but hey it’s camping lol. There is a short trail that loops around the outer edge of the campground and is nice to see the wildlife early in the morning and evening but bring your mosquito spray, and best of all it’s only a 10 minute drive to Florence if you need supplies"
"This is a great campground as it allows ATV’s in, but not allowed to be driven in the campground. (The other camps around do) This gives you the both of best worlds if you are like us who have done the ATV’s in the past but are now done. Our space was #25, close to restrooms, water and trash. The campground is nice for bike riding and nice walks around the lagoon. Quiet mornings listening to all the different birds, we even saw an otter in the early morning. It’s just a short drive to Florence, and had a great walk around Old Town. So go have yourself a great time!"
