"Maybe this used to be a great company but that was not my experience. I contacted them in November for a bid. They cancelled my appointment the morning of the appointment because the person was sick and apparently they have no alternates. So they rescheduled me for December (a month later). A Chimcare representative came out before dawn in December and gave me an estimate for the chimney cap I requested and then left without inspecting the rest of the chimney to let me know it needed additional work. In January, a different Chimcare representative came out to replace my chimney cap, supposedly. Only the man who showed up said he didn't have a 40-foot ladder nor the crew necessary to put the cap on. And he did a more thorough inspection of my chimney and found some additional repairs needed which he recommended. I didn't understand why I was scheduled for a cap replacement and a man shows up from the company unable and unprepared to do the work. He said he was going to send me a proper bid for a comprehensive repair on my chimney, including the cap, and I would be contacted for scheduling of the repairs. Instead of being contacted for repairs I received an almost immediate invoice for the cap replacement (which was not done) stating my bill was due immediately. I emailed a response to Stephanie on January 10th and asked why I was being billed for work that had not been completed and received no emailed response. Instead, I began receiving weekly phone calls from the office with messages stating my bill was due (for work that was not done). I finally managed to answer one of the phone calls and told Stephanie the entire story and that I didn't want to hire them to do the work any more because they were so disorganized, billing me for work that wasn't done and taking since November and I still don't have a proper bid. Stephanie apologized profusely and managed to convince me to give them one more chance for a proper bid and work. She did mention the second person who came out "no longer worked there". That does not excuse the first person, nor billing me automatically due to lack of notes from the person who was fired. It's now February 21st and the Chimcare representative came out once again and wanted to email me the bid he came up with but says the computer doesn't have my email address. I think that is the final nail in the coffin for me... since I know they have been both emailing and calling me it just shows the company is not organized any more. They have an email address just fine when they want to bill me for work not done... but somehow to send me a bid they can't find my email address. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll be having a good day... but I think they need to overhaul their company to prevent the types of problems people like me experienced."

"Great experience! I found this company with a google search for stove and chimney cleaning in the Salem area I received good customer service when scheduling and was provided with a reminder call. I had an excellent experience with Ryan, the technician.He was prompt to my Salem home, was very pleasant and friendly and seemed to be very thorough with his cleaning and inspection of my wood stove insert, fireplace and chimney. He explained the results and answered my questions. Because the wood stove is not up to code, he provided a bid for additional work that I need and since I am so pleased with the service, I will stick with this company for future needs."
"My husband found your company with a google search for chimney and dryer vent cleaning here in Salem. Ryan arrived early, was very professional, thorough, and cleaned up afterwards. He went over the work completed, and explained repairs that might be needed in the future and outlined an estimate for that work. He bonded with our dog and was very sweet to her and her pesky ways. I was very happy with the results, hated to build a fire in our stove because it looked so nice and clean! And the dryer works much more efficiently now."
