"Some of the nurses were really great, some not so great. It was the unpleasant administrative staff who made my week-long stay less than satisfactory. I got the feeling that the apathetic nature of hospital management was sometimes reflected in the attitudes of certain professional staff. It felt like St. Charles was a place where you can go for essential medical treatment but don't expect anything more than that. Two weeks after I left I received a four page standardized survey form in the mail, with no return envelope, no return postage, no option to do the survey online. It seemed like a clear statement of how little they value the opinions of their patients."

"I’ve had a heart condition for over a year. Palpitations, chest pain, left arm pain and weakness. Been in the ER a dozen times. Been to the cardiologist have gone through three different primaries and this will be my third cardiologist. No one can find anything wrong with me. Health care is a joke. How can you tell someone nothing is wrong with them when they live day to day with pain and palpitations. Health care is nothing but a money scandal. All so doctors can get a paycheck. Why can’t yall dig deeper and find an issue. It’s been over a year and I still don’t have an explanation, a reason, or a solution of why my problem is. I’m being prescribed meds for my heart but yet am being told my heart is fine. What a joke."

"I had to go there twice in the past couple of days. My first experience wasn’t great, but my second experience was so much better because Dr. Singer was amazing and kind. He made me feel better and actually treated me like I mattered as a human being. If you have to go there, I pray you get him as your doctor."

"Recent pediatric stay- we had the best care. The surgical staff and doctors and PAs took great care of us and made my kid feel comfortable during a scary time. The pediatric nurses were amazing. They were so kind and explained everything well. Thank you!"

"The ICU nurses and staff were very friendly and helpful. They all kept us up to date on my children's father since they were next to kin. They also helped them make some life long decisions. The nurses were very gentle and kind not only to our family needs but also my children father's needs"
