Reviews
"Seriously, read these reviews. For me, they pretty much sum up my experience: the doctor is great, but the office is completely incompetent. I saw Sam for one session, and he was great. But the office management was terrible beyond belief. For some reason, Joe (a different doctor) sent in the wrong prescription, and it took the office five days to fix it. Once they sent in the right one, my very in-demand medication was no longer in stock. This detrimental mistake left me without medication for weeks. When I expressed frustration, their office rep seemed annoyed and told me to"bring it up with Joe at the next appointment." Now, it's one thing to send in the wrong prescription and not fix it immediately, but simply forgetting the name of doctor I actually saw? That told me these people couldn't care less."
"I could not possibly be more let down by the complete lack of professionalism and sincerity from my provider. Don’t mistake the regular check ins for attentiveness, it’s just another paycheck. The disrespect for my time and agency as an individual was unparalleled in all my years of receiving mental health care and medication management. What’s worse is simply that nobody cares. I reached out to report and potentially resolve the issue, only to receive no response. You are just income to these people, nothing more. They’ll prescribe your medication and tell you to come back every single month for a check in, whether you need it or not, no matter how long you’ve been stable on a prescription, with no regard for how difficult it can be to fit in these little appointments to our already busy schedules. Nothing about the care given here is ultimately about the wellbeing of the patients, just the paycheck of the provider."
"I almost never write reviews unless I’ve experienced something absolutely terrible or amazing. But considering my wonderful psychiatrist and all the unethical reviews on here, I had to come on here to say I would highly recommend this mental health clinic to anyone. I’m assigned to a new psychiatrist named Michael Grimes and he has by far exceed my expectations. This doctor can “read my mind” and understand what I’m going through, more than I understand myself. Everything he has taught me about my mental health has changed my life. He’s honest, informative, and helpful. If you are new to this clinic or currently seeking a new psychiatrist, do yourself a favor and ask for Micheal."
"I was a patient of joes for about 9-10 months. Everything started off well, but the last 4-5 months was by far the most unprofessional healthcare experience I’ve ever received from a mental health provider. I was scheduled monthly, and over the last 4 months each of my appointments had to be rescheduled due to overbooking or system failures. I’ve been battling a severe leg injury, and it’s a miracle that I haven’t spiraled into another episode. Joe didn’t check on me once after any cancelled appointment. Finally when I requested a refill after my final cancelled appointment, I was given push back about his 5 business day policy for med refill. I also had a request from pharmacy almost two weeks prior to all of this. He literally does not accept pharmacy refill requests, you must call yourself every time you are low. I get he has policy but meanwhile, if he actually saw me at the scheduled visit, I would’ve received my refill without delay, completely avoided this issue, and was off meds for 2-3days. Joe ultimately discharged me WITHOUT NOTICE OR REASONING. All I got was a phone call from front desk saying they are not billing my insurance anymore and that I have to find another provider. Joe is too hard headed to accept his own mistakes and ultimately blames patients when things go wrong, esp related to his 5day refill policy (which is 7-8 days if it’s weekend). Very unprofessional and unsafe practices from a provider that is supposed to serve patients before his own egotistical self interests. Save yourself the future headache and don’t go here."
"I had high hopes, I felt like I connected with Joe well, I felt heard. Started me on a new med and said he would schedule a follow up in four weeks. I had called to double check when my appointment was at learned that the appointment was never scheduled. Then I started having scary concerns about my new medication. And I was given a refill for the medication. I was concerned about and pushed off for another month. But by my fifth month on the medication, I had to call primary care physician because of my concerns and was told to stop the medication immediately. There was no follow up, no matter how much I tried. I am incredibly disappointed that this one didn’t work out and now I’m back at square one."
