"I had been looking for an Amplified Translation of The Word of God and they ordered it for me and found a much lower price than what I was going to spend elsewhere. I appreciate their service!"
"The staff were incredibly friendly and provide excellent customer service. You can find almost anything you need here at and at a reasonable price."
"Used to be a good place to buy Catholic books, necklaces, crucifixes etc. The store is now predominantly Orthodox stuff sold next to the dwindling Catholic supply. The Father and son who own it-the father Catholic and the son-orthodox. So we obviously can see where this is headed in the long run. Funny thing is like I pointed out to the lady who runs the cash register the Orthodox stuff in the store a good portion is anti-Catholic pushing the “orthodox is true Christianity” angle. Won’t spend my money here anymore, too bad I’ve literally been a customer since I was around 19 I’m now 47."
"I have appreciated this store so much over the years. They have so many different items in the store that it is hard to get thru them all in one visit. If they don't have the item you are looking for, they will try to order for you...highly recommend a visit."
"Very disappointed with the poor customer service I received doing an online purchase with this shop. If you order from them, be sure to request a tracking number because you won't be getting your money back. And in addition , if you point out their poor customer service , you can expect them to make you the bad, disrespectful one. wow. Addendum: It is now 8 months after I placed my review and I see that the owner has given a response. I believe that their response quite demonstrates the kind of retaliative and twisted perspective you might expect if your order gets lost in the mail. What they considered rude and disrespectful was my direct list of the reasons I found their customer service to be poor. Here's what happened from my perspective : I never got my under $10 item (a Magnificat missal for the Christmas season) so I emailed them. They told me to contact the post office. The post office, of course, can't do anything without a tracking number and that tracking number is provided at time of shipping. The company said that they would have sent the tracking number at the time of the order, but that they don't keep records of tracking number. I went back through my emails to find the order confirmation and it did not have the tracking number. Since the item never got here, and there was no way to track it because they didn't keep the tracking number, I asked for a refund on my purchase. (remember, it is Christmas season and the item is less than $10). A refund on a last than $10 item during Christmas season would be good customer service. I also, at that time, mentioned that even though it was only $10 plus shipping, I had to give up my job due to the pandemic so every little amount was precious to me. One would think that a large company would put that small refund as a miscellaneous business deduction Their response to me was that they cannot give me a refund so they were going to send the next month's issue of the magazine at no cost instead. I told them I already have that one and would they send a different item (which was even less price than the first one) instead and to please not send the one they were going to send. Ah, too late, they had said they were going to send it but in fact they actually had already sent it and would I want to order the other item? I felt very frustrated, sent them a list of the flow of this experience (as above) and told them to keep the non-refunded money for the item I never received as a donation. Their reply to that was to tell me that I was disrespectful and don't order from them again. They need not worry about that. Imagine if the never-arrived , lost in the mail order was $50 or $100 or $200 or more. So now you have both accounts of the story. As the owner said, you can choose. You can see for yourself, from their response to my review, how they are likely to behave. Even calling me a sad and unhappy person. That was low and not professional. And certainly not even true. Interpreting my comments as slandering him and his employees?! That's well beyond an exaggeration, don't you think? If you do order from them, as I said in my first review, be sure to request a tracking number with your order and if it gets lost in the mail, know that it might be a challenge to resolve the issue. I only pointed out things to them with the intention that they see how easy it could be to create a really happy, repeat customer. They chose to see that as rude and disrespectful. And I am sorry they did. They missed an opportunity to be great."
