"Love this studio. It's small and your child gets lots of 1:1 time with the instructors. The owner which also teaches most the classes pours his heart into his students. My daughter loves going to dance and is always so happy after her classes. She speaks of how she learn a new technique after each class and how "today's class was so much fun!" I can see her growth and her perfecting her art because of Rodney. He sees the potential in all his students including my child and builds up their confidence."
"We've been a part of the Slay community since 2019. Acceptance, growth, and a drive to do your best are core values that imbue everything that they do. Our child is a stronger dancer and a better human because of it. In addition to the supportive guidance of the staff, the parents come together to create an environment of nurturing and well-being that benefits all dancers. From those new to dance to those interested in competitive dance, all are given equal treatment and equal respect, and we've seen our child grow from the former into the latter. We can't wait to see where dance will take her next, and the Slay community will be there to TURN DOWN FOR WHAT."
"As a recent graduate from SLAY Studios I can wholeheartedly say that this studio gave me a unique place of community to grow and become the truest version of myself. To this day, Slay feels like a community I can be a part of and rely on. My greatest takeaways are not just an in depth comprehension of this art form and ability to dance, but an enriched sense of self identity and self confidence. The instructors care about authentic artistic expression and pass on this sentiment to all dancers at Slay. They implement a perfect balance of fun and rigor into classes to help their dancers attain high levels of technical and performance abilities. With all that said, I can say I have been well prepared for undergraduate level dance courses at a private university!"
"I would avoid this studio. We met some amazing dancers and their families during the year we spent at Slay and am sad we are no longer part of that community.I would say that things went well for several months and Rodney is very talented, but we left ultimately due to his unprofessional behavior (hair pulling, yelling, forcing shoes on my daughter to the point she was crying, decreased responsiveness trying to schedule private lessons that we already paid in advance for). The inability of the studio to retain students or instructors besides Rodney and his sister speaks for itself."
"I signed my kids up for lessons at Slay for a year and met lots of great families and instructors. We decided to leave because of scheduling and communication problems as well as unprofessional behavior. We requested the owner remove photos of our kids from his website and social media and he declined. I do not recommended this dance studio."
