"Not helpful at all, in my 2 visits (week 1 and week 2 for a newborn) she gave me a total of 5 minutes of her time. She made us wait an hour in the room and to make up time she rushed through our appointment. 2 minutes on my first visit, didn't ask me if I had any questions just did a few things on him without explaining anything then left. The second visit was so traumatizing, she said my baby gained a pound and that babies who are overweight at this age (which he wasn't) studied showed he would be overweight as an adult and to look at her as an example. That her mother shoved a bottle down her throat and now she's large because of and can't lose the weight no matter how hard she tries. I was unable to feed my baby at hospital adequately, my milk didn't come in as quickly, but when it did shortly after coming home I was so proud of myself. I was able to feed him properly and I felt good. I never shoved a bottle in his mouth and from that moment on I started feeding him a little less, per her unsolicited advice, and he and I cried daily. We were both unhappy. I chose to listen to my heart and did what I felt was right and everything went back to normal. I am not a first time mom and I am thankful for that, this would have been a TERRIBLE first experience. I knew what she was going to do in the appointment but didn't tell her and she didn't explain anything. How can any parent have questions when she doesn't say anything about their baby? Insanity. After the second appointment I had to stop her as she was rushing out and ask "so was everything OK?" And she said "oh yeah, he's good. He'll get a shot today". Well thanks for telling me, only After I asked. I can't imagine not knowing that was coming and boom he gets a shot. Never again, don't visit"
