Dr. Young is a rock climbing enthusiast who received his D.O. at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine, while Leah joins us from Child and Adolescent Clinic in Longview, Washington, with experience in the NICU at Providence Portland Medical Center.

At Hillsboro Pediatric Clinic, the well-being of your children is our main priority. We strive to offer the highest level of care while respecting the specific requirements and guidelines set forth by state licensing regulations. Unfortunately, if our staff is aware that you are located outside of Oregon, we may not be able to provide triage or advice due to these restrictions. Our clinic aims to create a welcoming and respectful environment for all patients. We offer medical chaperones for sensitive physical exams to ensure the comfort and dignity of our patients. A medical chaperone is a trained professional who can assist during exams involving areas covered by a swim suit, such as genitals, anus, and chest. As of July 2023, board-certified clinicians in Oregon are required to offer a medical chaperone for any sensitive exam.

Parents and guardians have the right to decline a medical chaperone for children under 15 years old. Patients aged 15 and older can consent to medical services without parental consent and have the right to decide whether they want a medical chaperone present during exams.

If you change your mind and decide you want a medical chaperone during your exam, you can request one at any time. The chaperone should be someone unfamiliar to the patient, and preferences such as gender or language can be communicated to our staff.
