"I’m very disappointed to say that I would rate UP 0 if I could. Seems harsh but the amount of times that I have complained about garbage, laundry, and services is absolutely ridiculous! The laundry machines are always broken (I just had to move my wet clothes to different floors because the dryer was broken, I have had to pay way more than $1.25 for laundry because of this reason) garbage is outside the doors, elevators are always broken! The study rooms/areas are always disgusting. ALSO, In the past, the UP manager has made it difficult for student-athletes to get early move-in. These are things that need to be addressed! I feel that these things just get brushed under the rug and not taken care of and it’s disappointing! Do BETTER!"
"I loved how quick and easy the tour went. The people at the front desk were so kind and helpful. Gave me a tour of the main floor, out door setting, and gym etc. I got to also see the common area where my apartment that I applied for would be. The apartment is furnished and well kept. I suggest you take an in-person tour/ online definitely shows the quality but in person you get to feel the experience. Great feeling being there. Felt like a place I could stay for a long time. Did I mention they have good quality computers and a printer for students/tenants living there. Give them a call and set up a tour today!"
"University Pointe apartments at Portland State are fabulous. I’ve experienced and stayed in both the 4 bedroom and the 2 bedroom spaces over the years. I find that the location is convenient for everything I could need whether it’s to take a train or grab a bite to eat. I find parking nearby is never a problem, which seems incredible considering how centrally located it is. Once inside, I find the reception area is always occupied with friendly staff waiting to answer any questions, and I appreciate the cleanliness of the common spaces both downstairs and on floors I’ve been on. The apartments which are efficient and spacious have amazing city views and provide a gorgeous perspective of the city. I definitely would recommend this apartment for anyone wanting a place to call home."
"As a Texas native it was definitely an experience to move to Portland but without a doubt, I am glad I chose University Pointe. First and foremost, Jahee was amazing to work with in ensuring a smooth tour, transition, and answering any questions I had on the property. Couldn't have asked for a better person with the level of customer service that she possesses. Plus, her fluent Korean helped put my family at ease so if you need someone to help translate, she's there to help. Overall, the location is very convenient with transportation all within walking distance, plenty of restaurant options, and the maintenance crew have been very friendly and prompt with the work orders submitted. If you are new to the area, a student, or looking for something short term, University Pointe is pretty solid."
"While University Pointe is conveniently located and has wonderful skyline views and sufficient apartment amenities for single young adults, the challenges are significant. When the elevators are down, which is often, it requires hiking up to 14 floors, depending on where your apartment is located. This is a current condition! The elevators have been in some state of disrepair or complete disablement through most of this term! Moreover, the lower walls around the elevator and through the halls are missing both the insulation and the finished wallboard. This exposes the interiors of the walls and any leftover insulation to the open air. There are electrical hazards sitting in the halls. The management has failed to notify residents of these abnormalities and failed to offer any public or private notifications of when and how these problems will be effectively addressed and resolved. This gross mismanagement of a building that charges exorbitant monthly rental fees is simply untenable. There should be a class action lawsuit by the residents to recover some portion of rental fees due to the adverse conditions that management has left residents to deal with without active efforts and good faith intent to rectify."
