"I was able to work with therapist Ken for about a year and it made a very positive influence on my life. Because of working with him and his encouragement during an extremely challenging time, I have decided to become a therapist myself. When I started working with him, I was recovering from an abusive relationship, had just started going to school and was struggling with a lot. Through our weekly sessions, he was one of the only ones in my life who simply said "you are doing a good job!" a lot of times when I really needed to hear it. In march of this year, I am graduating and starting my masters in counseling right after, with the goal of eventually getting my PsyD and being able to help others in the same way that he was able to help me."
"I have been going here for 3 years and seeing the same therapist for 4. I see Mark. He is amazing. He has helped me make changes in myself and feel like I am important regardless of who says I’m not. He listens and shares and helps. The staff has been amazing to me as well. I recommend this office. There might be some bad reviews sure but that’s their experience. Don’t let that persons feelings get in the way of yours and needing something else to help you. Find who fits you and use your words don’t just bash people on reviews. I love this place. I’m blessed to have them and have my therapist."
"I went here for around 6 months previously. I saw Christine Dowd. My sessions with my previous counselor (Not with Breaking free) always left me feeling good and challenged to work on myself. I left most of my sessions with Christine feeling ashamed that I was struggling and like I wasn't working hard enough to fix my problems. I feel like she let her personal feelings about politics and religion hinder her ability to provide quality care. Everyone else I encountered seemed nice and polite."
"First appointment was canceled due to therapists migraine. Second appointment weeks away, I was told that I could not be seen because I did not bring my paperwork. Receptionist stated it was on the website. I was early and asked if I could do it now. Hooray I was allowed. . Masked were required everywhere due to pandemic. . Soon as we got in the room the therapists took off her mask.. then said we don't have to wear Masks if you prefer not to. Being elderly and millions dying. Yes I prefer masks.. she was not a therapist that I would recommend. Never went back."
"Don't waste your time. I was on a wait list for over 6 mos and when I finally got in, at my 3rd appointment the counselor said she was retiring. She said she'd assign me to someone else in the practice- turns out they were a student and not even licensed so I was left with no provider. *based on the response to this review it doesn’t seem patient privacy is important to them either*"
