Reviews
"Karen Eggers has been a great therapist for me. My goal has been to set better boundaries, and in a few sessions, I have made so much progress."
"saw the reviews but she was still the first one my eap found that fit my schedule, so i decided to give her a try. she cancelled my first 2 appointments a few hours before each one, and i don’t feel like giving a 3rd chance when it’s my time, energy, and mental health being wasted."
"I had told my primary care doctor that I needed to talk to someone, I felt like I was losing my mind! He referred me to Karen Eggers, I was very nervous about my first appointment, thinking about it all the way while riding the tram, I had no idea how I was going to open up to this stranger; however……. She was great for me, we only got to have about 8 sessions and hadn’t got into the deep stuff yet before I moved to Alabama! She didn’t want me to go, due to we still had much work to do plus it was one of those hasty decisions, anyways… in the short time I got to talk with her, she was THE BEST, she didn’t have sympathy but empathy, so we’ll educated and very kind hearted and the only person I trust to open up to. The last thing she said to me at my last session was “Rhonda please promise me one thing!; that you’ll talk to someone wherever you go!” I said “I will!” And I can say I tried, but only in my head. That was close to ten years ago and I miss her every day. Karen if you read this I want you to know I still need YOU and I still want to write a book about my life and start it with me sitting on your couch! I think you are wonderful and amazing and very good for me. I’ll be reaching out to you soon, however I am now in California! Love to all!"
"I gave this therapist the benefit of the doubt even after reviewing her very low rating but now I understand the reviews. I was assigned to this therapist through EAP and my experience with her was completely discouraging. First off she hassled me about why I preferred a phone session vs. a video appt and would not complete a full session because of this. Her demeanor was very passive and over all I felt worse after talking to her. I’m sorry but I would not recommend this therapist."
"I had 4 virtual appointments with Karen before I chose to see another therapist due to a move. She was assigned to me through my EAP as I had no experience choosing a therapist and assumed they would find a better fit for me than I might find myself with no previous experience. 3 of the appointments she was close to 10 minutes late to. One she was 15 minutes late to and she appeared to be in her bathrobe and her hair was wet, as if she was late because she was in the shower. I had a hard time opening up to her over this lack of respect for my appointment times and although I feel her advice had some merit, it wasn't a right fit for me."
