"Ornery owner. I used them once, went in with a Fed Ex prepaid shipping package, and they were busy elsewhere in the back of the store, framing pictures or something. I told them what I was their for, she replied "leave it on the front desk" I asked for a receipt, she said it would be a bit as they were busy. I did as instructed, and left. 6 weeks later I get a letter from the company that was supposed to be receiving the shipment, a warranty return part. They claimed it had not been returned, and said I owed them money for the part. I called Central Coast Shipping in hopes they could look up that day in their records and assist in proving I had dropped off the package. She immediately took to the defensive, ranting "everything that gets dropped off gets shipped" "I cant help with out a tracking number". Anyway, I had simply called, with zero intent of placing blame, just hoping she could help out, and I got an earful of how I should have saved the receipt, and to just "call Fed Ex to deal with it". Hard to want to keep the "Mom and Pop" shops in business sometimes when they treat you like this. Maybe she was just having a bad day. Make sure you hang around for a receipt, that was certainly my fault. How she reacted when I was looking for help, was just bad business."
