"Here is why I have 2. I was told by my postal office that I would have to pick the package up at the PO in Cannon Beach. Well, before I could get there, there was a returned message on my phone. I ran down there and the guy said he return it because they don't have a delivery system. I practically had to stand my ground and told him it was a priority package and he went and looked and found it. Well, he menrion the women usually comes in a sorts it out. Well, then let her do the return scan instead of freaking people out. To me that is rude and lazy. Btw, thus happened back in October. But, I would like for this season to be better for people. I just got carried away with life to respond."
"Intentionally unhelpful. So much for small town charm. Came to Cannon Beach on vacation and had to mail something. Woman at the counter gave me grief because the small plain brown box I wanted to mail First Class had some PM stickers on it which had been blacked-out with a Sharpie. That would have been the third time the box had been (re)used for First Class shipping. She even went so far as to say, "I don't have anything back here to cover up those stickers.". Seemed pretty clear she was intentionally trying to be a pain. I thought about using a pocket knife to cut through the many layers of clear tape and scraping off the stickers. But then I realized...I can just wait until I get back to the "big city" and they won't give a first thought to a sticker blacked-out with Sharpie, so as to be in compliance. I ship packages like this through USPS several times a week. I have never had a USPS employee be this petty about anything. And on a couple of occasions, I have had employees go out of their way to help me. Guess this is a way of creating purpose for one's life in a small town. I'll stick to the city."
"Whatever mail service you need is taken care of here."
"I don't know much about these folks but my boyfriend said he wanted to live here. So that is really a great thing."
