"I was recently going over my health history with a new provider when I realized it had been FIVE YEARS since my surgery with Dr. Gould. If you had told me five years ago that I would be living a normal life today, with only minimal pain, I would not have believed you for a second. The first time I met Dr. Gould, I cried within the first minute. It was the first time in my 15 year battle with endometriosis that I had felt seen and heard by a provider; she believed how much pain I was living in and didn't brush it off. I never felt rushed through appointments and Dr. Gould made sure every single question I had was answered. She went above and beyond to correspond with my insurance to advocate for me. I was a high needs patient after surgery, with unforeseen complications unrelated to surgery, and she always took the time to answer my endless questions thoroughly and helped me in any way she could. Five years ago, I wasn't able to work. I couldn't imagine any possibility of a life not ruled by constant pain. Today, I am a nursing student with a full and amazing life that I didn't know I could have. I am grateful every single day for Dr. Gould's compassion, skill, and care. This life I have is a gift and Dr. Gould made it possible. Thank you Dr. Gould!"
"She is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. She did my surgery to diagnose endometriosis and remove scar tissue and adhesions. She was always incredibly informative, patient, kind, empathetic, and thorough."
"She is tremendous! She is such a kind soul with a open heart for those who don’t know what’s going on. She helped me discover that I did in fact have endometriosis. She is trauma informed and helps celebrate each tiny victory. I highly recommend you see her. I’ve been to many other MDS and even just offices in general. Legacy Never disappoints"
"I very recently had a robotic-assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy. It is now a little more than 2 weeks after the surgery and I feel compelled to write a review (not something I do very often) because I have been so impressed with Dr. Gould and her team. Every step of this process has been as professional, easy and painless as it gets. The appointments leading up to the surgery were friendly, thorough and stress-free, and Dr. Gould is so easy to talk to (even at the first meeting), that I felt like I was with an old friend and not a surgeon about to perform major surgery on me. Pre-op instructions and organization were fantastic, and all the required pre-op tasks were easy to accomplish. On the day of surgery everything went incredibly smoothly, from check-in at 5:30 am to check-out around 12:30 pm. The relatively short time in recovery was a blessing and much appreciated. While I know that not everyone is able to be discharged three hours after surgery, and it depends on the individual patient, I do think recovery time is related to the level of preparation, skill and care of the surgical team, and it was lovely not to have to spend the night at the hospital, or linger there for many hours. The best part of the whole process, however, has been my recovery at home. I wasn't expecting that it would be this easy. I did quite a bit to prepare for it (reading a lot about how to prepare, trying to get as fit as possible so I could start moving right away, eating well and trying to get to a healthy weight by the time of surgery, etc), but I also know that Dr. Gould's surgical expertise and talent made a huge difference in my recovery. She has many years of experience and clearly stays current with surgical and medical research and innovations. She explained to me that she uses surgical techniques that enhance tissue remodeling and support the uterine ligaments after the hysterectomy (which was a big relief to me, because I had read about the risk of prolapse/collapse of the bladder and bowel and other possible complications after hysterectomy, and how the uterine ligaments can play a role in that if not well supported), and she reassured me about the cautery and other techniques that reduce the risk of severe bleeding after you go home (something everyone who goes home the same day of major surgery is probably thinking about!). The pain after surgery was much more manageable than I was expecting (really not a big deal at all, actually), there was almost no nausea (because my anesthesiologist was also a rock star, incidentally), and although I had some bruising it was not a big deal and didn't slow me down at all. I took a 4 mile walk 2 weeks after the surgery, and 5 miles yesterday, and had no problems at all - not even a tiny bit of pain. The final thing I want to say is how responsive Dr. Gould has been. I've asked a fair number of questions over the past two weeks (ok, a lot of questions over the past two weeks), and she has answered every one promptly, thoroughly and with patience and kindness. Her team is also kind, smart and organized, and I've had nothing but flawless interactions with all of them. Having major surgery is scary and a big, big deal, and this practice made it as painless (literally) and easy as possible. I cannot recommend Dr. Gould enough. A+++."
"This obgyn is absolutely amazing! I have a very complicated case of fibroids, ibs, (llikely) endometriosis, interstitial cystisis, etc. Dr. Gould is one of the top specialists in the entire nation, if not the world, probably top 5 of the world, for this. She is also very compassionate and informated. She is not about pushing pills and shots to make you feel better, but about treating the underlying issue with diet, exercise, and surgery if you should need it (and non-painkiller medicine as a symptom manager, but really about treating disease as it should be). She is the most amazing doctor i have ever gone to! My names is Bonnie Verwey if you would like to talk to me and i am no way affiliated with this doctor other than a patient. I just hope other people consider her, because i went through a lot of hell before i came across her!"
