"The manager and all the staff are incredibly incompetent and you will lose money renting from this location. We rented a truck with the third U-Box that we have packed this month in preparation for moving across country, and drove the truck a total of 9 miles. This U-Haul location charged us for 4 gallons of gas for refueling when we returned the truck. 9 miles = 4 gallons?? I think not, that means you're telling me that the brand new Chevy they rented us gets 2 miles to the gallon. We called and the manager stated "I'm not a mechanic, but trucks use more gas when towing and if you want a refund you'll have to call our corporate office". Don't bother with this location unless you are looking to get your wallet gouged."

"I had a reservation for 2 u boxes. The day before our scheduled pick up we stopped in to double check our reservation. Good thing we did. They didn't have our boxes, they wouldnt go get our boxes or have them delivered. They wouldnt do anything unless the corporate offices said it was ok. I had a confirmed reservation, their response was, they didnt set it up..my husband asked if they were allowed to problem solve? The 2 clerks said no only corporation could and "why are you belittling me.?"! At this point i said it was enough, i went to a different location, they apologized..will have our u boxes when we need them and gave us a a free month of storage..NEVER use the hillsboro location. I was in customer service for 25 yrs and would have been fired if i treated a customer this way. if there is a next time I'll use PODS."

"Excellent service from start to finish from everyone here! Kevin installed a front hitch on my 2015 suburban. He was friendly and really knows his stuff. Nicole and another feloow from Hawaii were very pleasant. It really was a nice experience. I don't leave many reviews unless the service is exceptional as was the case here."

"Incredibly unprofessional and rude. We were referred to this place by another smaller U-haul dealer further in town. Upon arrival we were told there is a shortage of the more affordable covered one-way trailers “along the entire west coast”. Receptionist refused to check for available trainers with other dealers when asked. We were told that only the larger trucks were available and that the smaller trailers we had inquired about (5 or more of which could be seen behind the storefront) were for local use only. We were also told that all other methods of shipping/hauling were unavailable except for the larger trucks. Manager was present throughout the entire exchange and dismissive of us when approached for help. Got what we were looking for with minimal hassle from the Beaverton location, saved ourselves over $500. Buyer beware."
