"sent me and many other students into a spiraling depression, fueled by sergeants using my personal issues to verbally abuse me, serving consequences for other people’s actions, being forced to not eat lunch or communicate with my peers. a few students committed suicide in my time there. the only staff members which i looked up to left."
"For the most part the school seemed like it was just a place for veterans to go so they could yell at helpless children to feed there egos. I didn't see many students improve here. A lot of the staff I did look up to ended up leaving. In theory the structure the school brings to students could be beneficial but unfortunately the way they rank kids and give them authority seemed like a gratified popularity contest. On one occasion they would not let me eat lunch as a punishment. The name Willamette Leadership Academy is ironic considering the leadership here is so toxic. Keep in mind I went here like 7 years ago but I hear it's gotten even worse , I can't imagine!"
"This school was great. Provided structure, consistency and a enviroment where more reality based. Not a liberal school. It was not easy at first following orders but after a while he began to see why order are needed. My son has done a full circle turn. Many thanks and gratitude for helping our family achieve the goal of gearing our son to being a productive member of society."
"Grandchild sent to this school becuz of behavior issues but these issues only got worst being there she never learned anything. All they do is scream and yell. My grandchild's issues got so much worst she wond up being in a lock down behavior facility for over 18 months then in group home. Because of this she may never be the person she was meant to be. DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE UNLESS THEY PLAN ON BEING IN THE MILITARY. Screaming and yelling at home and at school does NOTHING for the child's self esteem or life in general. HATE HATE HATE"
