Growing a Future School Farm 88888 Territorial Highway, Elmira, OR 97437

Growing a Future School Farm is a unique institution located at 88888 Territorial Highway in Elmira, Oregon. As a park, our focus is on learning to grow healthy, self-sustaining, and thriving communities. We are a project of the Fern Ridge School District and the Elmira High School Interact Club, with support and training provided by Sea Mercy, a non-profit charity based in Oregon. Our goal is to create a safe and innovative environment for students (K-12) and the community, while also promoting sustainable farming practices.

Started in 2018, Growing a Future began as a greenhouse project and has since expanded to a Soils School & Community Farm on 3 acres of school property donated by the Fern Ridge School District. We offer programs like the Valentine Roses initiative, where community members can support our mission by purchasing a dozen roses for their loved ones. These roses are hand-delivered on Valentine's Day, making for a special and meaningful gift.

At the heart of our institution is the belief in the power of imagination for learning. Our K-5 school farm curriculum is based on a fictional story called "One Last Chance," which emphasizes the importance of returning to traditional farming practices to protect the earth and our health.
