"I’m new to the school and I like it here. Almost all the teachers are nice and understanding and actually care, some Don’t even pretend they do. I honestly like the school but the cafeteria could use more vegetarian options. I genuinely like this school some of the kids are mean but I like it."
"Having grown up in Portland, and having taught middle school elsewhere, all I can say is I LOVE ROBERT GRAY! My students are rock stars, parents are over-the-top supportive, my colleagues are top-notch, and the admin is awesome. I welcome any member of the community to visit my classroom and see our amazing students in action. They bring me their best every day, and they dig in, even when the lessons are more work than fun. I can't ask for more."
"I love my school! The middle school students are academically brave and curious, the staff works collaboratively and constantly are striving to do better. The parents are incredibly supportive and thoughtful. I am proud and grateful to be apart of such a wonderful school community."
"Well, to start the kids at RGMS weren’t all that bad; they may have done bad things, but, from my point of view it was because the adults surrounding them were bad influences. One of my teachers destroyed any hope that I had for my education. Another teacher had several mental breakdowns and threw things at students. The Principal and Vice Principal follow and yell at students, and some of the teachers are menacing towards the student body. The hallways smelled like drugs, dirty laundry, feces, and decaying rats. I went there for three years, and not only did I not learn anything, but I was scared to go to school. I convinced my parents to let me stay home, because I was terrified of my teachers. The teachers were sexist, racist, bias, and predominantly unfriendly towards the kids. During class I would hear kids talking about shooting up the school, drugs, alcohol, and so many other disturbing things. The admin is corrupted as well as the teachers. All in all I do not recommend letting your children attend this school. EDIT*** Thank you for calling my parents because when I came home when I was in middle school not only did they not believe me, but you gave them the illusion that I was the one who was the issue not the school and the administrators. By calling them now you have finally proved your treatment towards the students by not giving us the right to review our experience. By reading your comments on not only my review but others as well it seems as though you have only taken into account the reviews from the 3-5 star areas and said thank you for those that share your opinion. Some students had a horrible experience. If these students are describing what they felt when they were there then don’t just say “I’m sorry that you feel that way. Hope you’re having a great time in high school” maybe you should ummm I don’t know actually change what needs to be changed. Here are some tips that you could really use: • Change the atmosphere of the school. No one want to go to a school disrespects them and their rights as a person. • Re-evaluate your rules. In some areas you need better rules and in some you don’t. Such as your blind eyes to the bullying that occurs in your very halls every day."
"This school used to be a very good school. One thing happened and everything went crumbling down. The teachers don't do anything to stop bullying and they do not discipline students fairly. The school used to be a very good environment and it has turned into an environment that is filled with drugs and violence. I switched out of this school due to some cyber bullying that occurred and none of the teachers did anything to help. It is a shame that this school has turned into such a terrible place."
