"I was here on Saturday buying hair conditioner and rubber bands. It really sucks having to pretend I’m not aware that I’m being watched, followed, & racially profiled. I’d avoid this location if you can and they’re not discreet at all."
"I just need to rip off the bandaid and find a new pharmacy. This location is always either out of meds (but doesn't notify you until you show up for pick-up), sends out texts that meds are filled and ready for pick-up (when they're not), insanely long lines with long wait times, and pharmacy closures without any notifications. I dread having to fill a Rx here each month, because I know it's a going to be a 100% guaranteed hassle."
"The pharmacist, Tess is completely unprofessional and hostile. My doctor's office and the Fred Meyer pharmacy team confirmed that her reputation is extremely poor. I know Fred Meyer is a competitor, but they said that Tess 'doesn't know up from down'. My doctor's office even recommend that I use 'anyone else' to fill my prescriptions. The rest of the team is polite and helpful but extremely understaffed, hours are hard to gauge because this location often has to close because of staffing issues. I hope Walgreens priorities appropriate staffing levels before the whole team burns out!"
"I visited this Walgreens location at 8:50 on Thursday night right to inquire about a prescription from the pharmacist before their hours ended for the day. Within 10 seconds, the security guard dressed in a vest for armor and with weapons on his tool belt followed me directly to the pharmacy area and stood within six feet of my personal space. I asked him what's ul and he made up excuses about his actions of following me and standing so close. This made me extremely uncomfortable and unable to shop for items near the pharmacy because he was sitting in a chair directly in front of the shelf. I asked the security guard to please back away and give me some personal space because he was making me feel uncomfortable and I would like to browse in peace. He then proceeded to verbally harass me, calling me a "tough guy" and asking if I want to "get out of his store." I walked to the refrigerators area instead and picked up two Gatorade type beverages and because I was talking to the security guard at all, the store manager came over and very not subtly whispered to the security guard to watch out for this one and Instructed him to continue his behavior Instead of trying to talk to me the customer respectfully and deescalate any kind of uncomfortable situation. After I commented on this unfair treatment and described my experience struggling with post traumatic stress, the manager Richard Informed me that he is denying me service, that he has the right to refuse service to anyone and he is refusing to take my $20 cash for two beverages and a pack of playing cards. Because of this situation, I asked Richard, the store manager for his business card and the number for Walgreens corporate and and he asked me to leave the store. But I asked him if he was trespassing me and please call the police because I am calling to file a formal complaint in front of all the staff and customers. Richard the store manager was watching me and listening to the entire phone call and the security guard was still standing behind me menacingly and commenting his opinions on the interactions that I was having on the phone call. After listening to my narration onto the recorded customer service line the manager finally gave the security guard some eye signals to pause his behavior and walk elsewhere. I fully intend to escalate as far as possible with Walgreens corporate and any kind of legal representation that may assist me in having this discrimination. In fact, the entire time that I've been standing on the public sidewalk near the parking lot to type this message, the security guard has been standing outside the entrance of the store watching me. I believe to observe and make his presence known. I do not think that we need Bruce Wayne or Batman type security guards in this situation. This is not a comic book or Gotham City and I am not a criminal. I was shopping for electrolytes and water and the store manager, Richard decided to refuse me service because the security guard and himself was being extremely unreasonable. You are not supposed to treat customers or anybody this way. It is unacceptable."
