"This place truly serves the community. They have classes and a thrift store as well as a small school. I attend at least 2 events here each year although there are many more. The Christmas Bazaar showcases local crafts and talent in the gym one Saturday in December. The center sits on the old elementary school grounds and has a lot of area for outside events. The most popular of these are the Elk Mountain Highland Games in April. The area is transformed into a Scottish fair with games that challenge skills on several levels and showcase both traditional and modern crafts. They've added a Farmer's and Artisan market on Sunday for the summer. Come over Sunday's between 10 and 2."
"This was my childhood school. Best years of my life!! Back when the cafeteria and library were in the basement, forging our own Oregon Trail through the woods, a fantastic Halloween Festival in the gym run by each class and the highlight of every 5th grader; the 3 day camp trip to the coast. Small schools have big heart. P.S. I live on the coast now."
