"Such a fun experience to try at least one time! Pricing was fair and the equipment was easy to rent out. Dr. Dune helped us learn the basics before going out to the sand- he was very nice and knows how to run a business well! Definitely recommend renting from this place!"
"Great and fun thing to do, highly recommended. For snowboarders, sandboarding is an easy transition. The price to rent a board is very reasonable. We used the sand dunes behind the shop and spend a morning there. Only downside is what goes down must hike up again....You can take the sand board to larger sand dunes, but you better have a buddy pick you up on an ATV to bring you to the top again!"
"What a fantastic little shop! Great pricing, and equipment! We did the lessons, and board rental - and the kids had a blast! We did take the boards over to honeyman state park to do some sand boarding too. It was a gorgeous day at the coast. The boarding was so fun, I would highly recommend this shop, if your in the area. Be sure to get there EARLY for rentals, they do sell out!"
"We showed up to Sand Master on a random Monday afternoon (when they are usually closed, or it’s by appointment) but the owner just happen to be there. He welcomed our family in, fitted us to boards and gave us beginner instructions all in about 20 minutes. We had a blast!…boards are rented for 24 hrs (early return available) but all we needed was 2-3hrs for a solid day of family fun! Boys say “we have to go every week now!” Thank you Sand Master Boarding for opening to us and being so gracious to accommodate us."
"Accept no imitations. This was the coolest thing we did on our trip up the Oregon Coast! We reserved a reservation well in advance which I would recommend. We also paid extra for lessons (and a T-Shirt!) which I would recommend. A young man named Caleb was our instructor and he was great. Not only was he personable and easy to talk to for the hour and a half of our lesson, but he was very good at explaining how to ride and improve your technique. Sand Master seems to own about 4 acres of dunes behind their shop which is all we needed to spend a few hours sand boarding. I will say that walking up these massive dunes after each run is hard work. My calves were definitely feeling it the next day. I cannot recommend this place enough. This has got to be one of the most unique things you can do in this part of the country. You can also take these boards out for 24 hours if you want. It seems like there are many other places to sandboard up and down the coast, but three hours at this park was plenty for us!"
