"We are happy to give rave reviews about these great folks. They sold our home for a fair price and made the whole process easy and painless. Rebecca is the kindest, sweetest lady I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She made us feel like family and kept us abreast of what was going on. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again!"
"We went with Lori because of her longevity in the business and the area. She and Rebecca made many promises of what they would do. We were selling a home and planned to purchase two homes, one to live in and one as an investment. We set our price based on their market analysis. After the first week and their realtor tour, they told us we needed to drop our price by $50000. We felt like this was a bait and switch, leading us to believe they could market our house at one price, but wanting to lower it drastically after we were in contract. They also assured us that they would be assertive in their hunt for houses to buy. They never showed us a house that we didn’t request to see. We constantly scoured Realtor.com and Zillow and had to contact Lori or Rebecca if one came up that met our wants. They didn’t find one of the homes we viewed or made offers on. As far as the listing of our home, we had to ask multiple times for upgrades and features to be added to the listing, even though they were listed in the contract. They only added them when we made it a stipulation to doing a price decrease. They themselves never showed our home once. All showings were by other agents. The final straw was when we had interested buyers. We were told by Lori that we should be getting an offer. Then we didn’t hear from her for a week. We finally found out that she had mistakingly put a note in the agent notes of our listing stating that we would put a contingency of finding a home to buy before finalizing any sale of ours. We never said to put that in and have no idea why she did! The sellers were looking for a quick deal and went with something else because of the possible contingency! (Their realtor told me this directly.) She told us other reasons for the sale falling through. Their realtor told me directly that those reasons were simply not true! When we asked Lori why that was put in the agent notes, she avoided our calls and messages. When she finally did contact us, she was defensive and rude. She then contacted me asking me to sign papers saying I wanted to cancel my listing with her! I never said I wanted to cancel. When I told her I didn’t know if I wanted to cancel, she continued to message and had her assistant call telling me I needed to sign! I finally said I would only sign something that stated that SHE was choosing to cancel. I got no more correspondence from her. Our lockbox and sign were picked up and the house was off of internet sites! I called the principal broker in the office to see if he knew about any of this or if our house had been removed from listings. He looked it up and said he didn’t have a contract for us with them! He had no idea she had cancelled without our or his consent. I asked him to send something in writing saying their office had cancelled our contract. He did make her send an email stating she had cancelled it. Not only did we receive below par customer service, they negligently put things in the agent notes that were not included in our listing agreement, and they broke a legal contract they made to have our house listed and advertised. I would not recommend them based on these issues. I recently read another post by another seller that stated many of the same issues we had. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this realty team."
"My wife and I needed to locate investment rental property to complete a 1031 exchange we were getting ready to start. We had decided on the Grants Pass area as a place to invest. Looking for the right property while working within the time constraints the 1031 exchange requires, places additional stress on an already stressful situation. An existing property owner we met in Grants Pass recommended the Tamashiro group as an excellent realtor for the area. We set up an appointment with Kurt Tamashiro and explained our situation. Kurt was very professional and answered all of our questions. He also gave us some insight on what types of investment property might be best to meet our return expectations. The total process from start to finish took about 6 months. We ended up buying two properties. A single-family home and a brand-new duplex. The Tamashiro group were with us throughout the entire process. They have an excellent staff and helped us navigate the lengthy process of purchasing not only an existing property but one that was not even started when we met for our initial appointment. Our personal contact within the group was Rebecca Beard. She did a wonderful job for us. We highly recommend you contact the Tamashiro group if you are looking to purchase property in Grants Pass or the surrounding areas. You can have confidence you will be well represented. We would definitely use them again if we look for property in the future."
"I listed my home with Colene Martin, a new associate with the Ebner Tamashiro team. Colene is well connected in the community having been the CEO of the Grants Pass/Josephine County Chamber of Commerce. Colene was well aware that I needed a quick sale, and she thought outside the box to find the perfect buyer. I had an accepted offer in 17 days and funds in 57 days. This allowed me to proceed with my new home in Arizona. Thanks to Colene and the whole team."
"I was referred to Tom Bernhart with purchasing my first home and I appreciated how honest he was in helping my find the perfect one. Fast forward to 8 years later when I moved across the country and knew it was time to sell. Tom, Kurt, and his Team did a wonderful job finding a thorough home inspector, advising on options, listing my home for sale and in less than 30 days finding an investor for purchase, and making it a very fast and easy process for me. Great team to work with!"
