Cappella Apartments

"DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!! I lived here for 1 year in 2021! when I moved out they charged me for a cleaning fee even though it was beyond clean when I moved out. I called them 5 separate times(which I have proof of) and have pictures/videos and they NEVER got back to me. Now 2 years later they are trying to charge me still and threatened to send me to collections. I called their property management company MDI and tried to explain the situation to a lady who laughed in my face and interrupted me so many times I told her I wanted to speak to a manager. She never had anyone contact me. I finally got an email saying to contact cappella (AGAIN) and I was sent to voicemail 3 times. I’m supposed to be getting sent to collections tomorrow. And haven’t got anything resolved because they just want their money."

"Overpriced and they have been paying to remove negative reviews. Trash literally everywhere and rent is sky high. Trash on the premises for over six months and getting worse. It’s like living in a landfill."

"Its OK, but not worth the money they're asking. Pros: Great location. Next to Walgreens, about a mile from Kaiser Permanente Skyline, walking distance from an elementary school, park, and groceries. Relatively quiet and safe area. Considering how many apartments they crammed in such a small area it was nice and quiet most of the time. Maintenance request done timely. They would usually get to a request within 48 hours or less. Cons: Ridiculously expensive. I was paying $1500+ for a two bedroom two bath apartment. Square footage wasn't much. The place has a cheap feel to it. It looks nice in the pictures, but once I moved in, it felt like everything was falling apart. Walls are thin, cabinets were crooked, laundry room door broke, stove needed repairing, gate keys didn't work to name some of the issues. Parking area is too small. Moving trucks can barely make it into the property. It was a huge pain moving in and out. Parking spots are also limited. Guest spots get taken fast. I saw neighbors get their spots taken or people parked in the handicap spaces. Unreliable property manager. I put down maintenance requests done timely as a pro, but only when the property manager actually made the request to maintenance. Their were multiple times I had to call the office at least two times for the same request only to find out the first time I called nothing was written down. Before we moved in I was promised I could use my own washer and they would work with me on letting me use my own fridge. When I got there they made me wait a month because they had to think it over. They changed their minds and said no to both. When I moved out, the property manager did not show up for the final inspection/key return. Never in all my years renting have I had this happen. I don't know why they couldn't send a substitute or give me a phone call beforehand as I had to leave work early. After multiple phone calls I eventually got an email three days later."
