"We have had the pleasure of living here for 3 years and hope to be here for many more. As retired persons we were concerned about apartment life. I am happy to report that Fairmount has shown us just how carefree and peaceful apartment life can be! These are the only units that have large rooms to accommodate your furniture if you are downsizing from a house; the huge windows allow for amazing light and spectacular views. Even the buildings resemble a beautiful mountain resort instead of the usual apartment complex look. As far as the management goes: Thank you MICHAEL & TIM! You both are the best. We so appreciate you making sure that we enjoy this special place. You make it look easy, but we se how hard you both work! Always a pleasure seeing you & we hope to benefit from you both for a long time. March 14, 2024: The property changed hands last year & I am happy to report that the new owner has improved the complex by attending to maintenance which the prior owner was unable to address. Every month we are seeing improvement to this unique collection of homes. A special shout out to SUNSHINE our new manager who has taken on the difficult task of change of ownership with humor & grace. She is an experienced professional who also happens to be very kind! Also, our new Maintenance Professional, DEONTAY has been amazing. I have worked with builders in the past & DEONTAY is highly skilled. He is also a great guy! We definitely recommend living here."

"I have lived here approximately 5 years and just renewed my lease (even with a price hike like every other apartment complex in Oregon) because I love living here. The view is spectacular. In response to a recent review on this site all of the listed complaints can mostly be laid at the feet of the PREVIOUS management company, Dalton Management. I too was upset that the pool was paved over, and our pleas to keep it fell on deaf ears. Dalton Management "spruced up" the old pool area with the gathering opportunities and amenities currently listed on the apartment website in preparation of selling it to the CURRENT management company, Avenue Five..Dalton also added the monthly parking fee and said it would go toward pool maintenance. It did not. I have had a different experience with the new manager than the previous, latest reviewer. In addition to the usual office duties I have personally seen the new manager consistently walking the grounds and working hand in glove with maintenance. They are getting things fixed that are long overdue. It will take time to turn the neglect around. I have even witnessed the new manager getting dirty while trimming tree limbs and blackberries back that the landscape company has somehow missed for years. The top notch maintenance gentleman has even magically restored the sprinkler system in the upper apartment complex. It has been dormant as long as I've been here and the upper grounds are starting to see new plant growth instead of dead plants. Overall, I am pleased with management responses to my requests and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend living at Fairmount Park Apartments."

"Poor maintenance response and the new property manager is on a power trip. Overpriced and they filled in and paved over the pool that residents loved to use for a bocce court and strip of turf that is never used. The new property management only cares about making money, not residents quality of life. They charge you to park in the complex and if you hope to use the free parking spaces and walk or bike to work make sure you move your car or expect to have it towed as a way to force you to pay for a spot. The apartments themselves are old and dated. For the same price you can find a nicer apartment with amenities you actually will use and a caring property mgmt company."

"My partner and I have had an excellent experience living at Fairmount Park Apartments! As we prepared to move to Salem from out of state, Francine provided swift, thorough communication and critical attention to detail, including ensuring the apartment was very clean when we moved in, among many other efforts that we had not experienced going so well in our previous rental experiences. Fairmount Apts. are situated in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the beautiful Willamette Valley toward the west. We highly recommend this apartment complex, both for the wonderful, attentive service and the quality of life."
