"I have lived here for over three years. There have been very few issues and all were dealt with quickly. The Fred Meyers store is within walking distance and there is a very small park nearby. Also, the bus stop is VERY close. If you have to live near the center of town, this is the perfect place."
"I lived here for just over 2 years, moved away for a few months and decided to return back to 1335 North, which I have. I feel safe and comfortable here. John, the property manager is quite literally the nicest human being ever, he is professional and also conducts himself with kindness for everyone. Top notch manager for sure. He is prompt and attentive. Chris, in maintenance is also pretty incredible himself! I highly suggest this complex if you’re looking for an apartment!"
"Assigned parking spaces bear apartment numbers, posing a security risk. Potential stalkers or malicious individuals can easily identify residents' apartments. My apartment experienced two unforced break-ins, but nothing was stolen. Similar unforced entries occurred in other units, with thefts reported. Following plumbing issues and a burst pipe in my unit, management pressured me to say I had broken the pipe and was responsible for the mess. My refusal led to lease termination and false accusations of owing extensive water damage fees, though they never put the claims into an invoice with specific charges . It was just threats and making up a new amount each threat. There was a suspicious incident where a towel was placed in a bathroom heater and turned on high, a potential fire hazard. This occurred despite changed locks and occurred during one of the two break ins. Compounding these issues is the perplexing behavior of management, who sent me over a hundred emails with various threats and false claims which I took to be an attempt to coerce me into making a false insurance claim where I would tell the property insurance company that I was responsible for the broken pipe. These communications were both baseless and bizarre. I forwarded each and every one to Geico's property insurance arm. I retain these emails and hope to present them to the 2025 legislature to advocate for legal reforms, to prevent similar experiences for others. Also worth noting that when I applied at another apartment to move away and they did a background check, Quantum Management told the reporting agency that I was attempting to move while owing money for water damages and not having an insurance claim. This was said, despite the fact that management spoke to my agent on the phone prior to making this claim, and also after I had sent him the claim number. And also despite no invoice or billing statement ever having been presented. The negative reporting was repeated the second place I applied, but the second investigator came through and the accusations did not stand. Despite all this bizarre behavior, I have to admit that the management seemed normal enough at first and was even somewhat ingratiating. At their request a few months after I moved in I wrote a review and gave them five stars. But I did see signs of this sort of thing, but I mistakenly chose to ignore it. Note how many of the 5 reviews are from the last year."
"The management here truly is outstanding! John goes above and beyond, keeps the facility looking amazing, and is always so helpful when needed! Not to mention he is always such a joy to talk to in the office! Thank you John for your dedication to customer service! Amazing!"
"Update: I think you should consider updating your reply, talking about my mom like that shows your level of professionalism. Not a request, just some friendly feedback. I have lived in this complex for more than 3 years, and I have seen over 4 managers come and go. I have loved my stay here. The view from the third floor is amazing. Nevertheless, my last experience in 1335 North started horrendously as I was denied to move-in on the contracted date and was left essentially homeless for a week. Imagine my surprise when I arrived with my life on a truck, only to be told to go away. Luckily, my brother's lease wasn't over, so I had a place to stay in Portland. I complied as I did not want to generate conflict. Over the next few months, my parking space got moved twice, and I was expected to move immediately, or else I would get towed. I have also heard the manager, John Hurley, saying awful things about other tenants, and as an international student, I did my best to avoid being on the receiving end of his remarks. Being around him was a challenge, it's impressive how condescending someone can be in a 5-minute talk. As a coup de grace, I had to move to Portland due to an internship offer and had to break my lease. I informed the manager, John Hurley, with almost 4 months' notice and asked for his guidance through this process. The manager gave me some directions. Being a CS honors college student, one would think I am pretty good at understanding and following directions, but apparently not, as I am leaving 1335 North being unjustly charged an extra month that was previously discussed not going to be charged. I am sure the manager will be thoughtful enough to blame me, even though I followed his instructions to the letter. Maybe English is not my thing; I will never know. Rest assured, I leave incredibly disappointed with the manager from 1335 and will be looking for somewhere else to stay when I come back for my post-bacc studies. Sadly, John Hurley is doing his best. Although I am not sure if he is doing what's best for you, for the property or for himself. You be the judge. P.S. Be careful about out-of-pocket expenses for cleaning the property when you leave; the manager literally doesn't care. John Hurley charges you a $510 cleaning fee by default. So, say goodbye to your deposit, no matter how well you maintain and clean the property. I repeat, he will keep your deposit by charging you a 500+ cleaning fee by default. Sincerely, Bolivar Beleno"
