"Thanks to Kim Seaberg/North Coast, the move-in experience was done smoothly and stress-free! Great job! After a long 1000 mile drive, Kim was available with keys in hand ready and all questions answered! I highly recommend them and look forward to a positive experience going forward!"
"Honestly, if you don't like working with people don't be in a job or own a company that works directly with people. I was looking around for an apartment for a friend of mine and the lady that got ahold of me was rude and had ZERO customer service. I mean I get it, housing is scarce and there are other applicants. But Kim (that's her name) acted like she didn't want me as a client. I mean the “why are you even calling and asking if there is something available” kind of attitude. I asked her a few questions to start after being told the property I was interested in was already rented. Questions like: Do you have any properties available? “You can look on our website” Can I get ahold of you tomorrow? “You probably won't get it, it's first come first serve.” There was no push from her to look at a house instead. No upsell or attempt to get me to look at a property. Plus her attitude was just indignant and had the air of “I'm better than you”. Don't bother renting from these folks. Find something on Willow or through a different company. Based off of the other reviews I've seen. These guys don't want to be in the rental business. Plus their prices are outrageous. Like seriously outrageous."
"Previous reviewer stated "rental sharks" = total agreement! Wish to post "BEWARE" alert Duplicate billings for applications then would not extend tad of information nor consideration to reply to calls nor online message. They should be informed Absolutely no cost to KINDNESS"
"Tenants: be informed about those rental sharks. Their owner is judgmental and she sent threatening letters to all the tenants we met so far, despite everyone paid rent in time. Christine Mile-Brigham overstepped with us informally and systematically on the phone. She threatened multiple times pushing us repeatedly to sign abusive lease addendums attempting to restrict the normal use of musical instrument in our home (saxophone in the afternoon is music and is not noise), or attempting to restrict our small gardening hobby or other attempts to restrict the normal use of our home as defined in the original lease. Targeted unfair attempts were made to restrict in the lease everything we used to love doing during our free time, as a form of retaliation possibly. We have never been the source of any noise at all as defined legally but North coast Rental decided to act on "noise" without a fair cause and with zero evidence of noise at all. We have learned that this agency has "patrols" around property so expect a monitoring of your activities. Their owner bothered us abusively and unfairly. We were driven to hire a lawyer because North coast Rental was obviously abusive and surfing with the Oregon laws protecting tenants rights, the lawyer sent the agency a clear letter and the matter was resolved but seriously who really wants to pay a lawyer just to get it right with the lease and the laws? Sending tenants such scary letters or asking for lease modification on the phone is the agency owner's control method, it is the most abusive rental agency that I experienced between 5 countries and 8 agencies in the past 20 years. I never had to go through such a circus from a rental agency character ever before but I can tell now it is extremely unpleasant. Landlord: Be aware this agency will blame you conveniently when the tenant complains about a thing. The lawn was not mowed in our home during almost a year (it grew about 5 feet!) and when we enquired with the rental agency they found nothing better than blaming the landlord for it."
"We were drug through the mud while trying to rent the most basic two bedroom in seaside. It had not been cleaned, renovated, nor had the lights been changed prior to our showing. Is this a commonality? Back to the point. My credit score was fairly low at the time and my girlfriends was average. That was our first issue. We were told to get a co-signer and that should clear us to move forward with the process. So we did. Keep in mind we have paid the application fees for not only ourselves but, our co-signed as well. We waited a few day and were under the given impression that there was no bad news and the process is still under way but was being worked on. After another few days we received a call saying that there was an issue and we were denied. The denial stemmed from the credit scores not being good enough. In which only one was less than acceptable. This is after we were told we would be just fine with a co-signer. After I dug at her a little more over the phone she admitted that the other issue was that I had a “Criminal history” that they couldn’t accept. I’ve only had a few traffic citations in my lifetime!?! Not only was I given the run around after paying their fees about the credit but I was also told I’m too much of a criminal because I’ve had tickets. I qualified for absolutely every one of their ridiculous requests and they still made me pay for it. Time and money was wasted to be given a look of disapproval. I’m 23 years old. But, I’m not stupid. I know how this works and I was dealt with in a very unprofessional manor. If you’ve read this far, I advise you to save yourself and take your business elsewhere. If you want to be treated with respect that is."
