Reviews
"Dr Dieter was my psychiatrist at Marion County Adult Behavioral Health (ABH) for the past five months. My major issues were severe depression and suicidality. On Mother's Day 2023, I attempted suicide. Upon release from the hospital, I immediately contacted Dr Dieter. Forty-eight hours later I received a call from an unknown nurse. She informed me I could no longer get my psychiatric medications prescribed by Dr Dieter, effective immediately, cold turkey. In utter disbelief, I tried to find out why. But no one from her office would return my calls. It soon became clear that not only had Dieter ceased my medications, but she had terminated me as her patient. Three days later, I ran out of three medications, which were ill-advised to cease without titration. I became very ill and unstable, not only because of my suicide attempt, but because of drug withdrawal. Shockingly, Dieter never personally reached out to me during this entire fiasco. This unethical and unprofessional conduct by Dr Dieter sent me into an emotional tailspin. I had to fight the urge to kill myself because of the betrayal by Dieter, who I had trusted and shared my soul with, and the great pain I suffered from. In my 70 years on the planet I have never been treated in such a callous and cold hearted manner by another physician. Having a legal background, I know this behavior is known as "abandonment of a patient during a critical phase of treatment." It is a violation of Dieter's oath as a physician. I have reported her deleterious conduct to the Oregon Medical Board, who oversees her license. In addition, I will be suing her for malpractice for the great harm she has done me at a time I was literally fighting for my life. All I can say is "be cautious." BUYER BEWARE."
