"My experience regarding my eye exam with Dr. Meier absolutely exceeded my expectations. He was very thorough, genuine and professional. Christina, office manager, was also very helpful in getting me in for an appointment and kept the office very clean and comfortable too! Thank you so much! I would highly recommend!"
"They are openly scamming OHP patients. The selection of children's glasses is dismal and they tried to charge me $50 for "an office fee and a lab fee" to replace my daughters glasses. Even when OHP was brought in to verify that they cannot charge an OHP patient they still tried to insist on charging me. Finally after calling non emergency to help us out they gave us the glasses. I took my daughter to another local doctor Moreland Eye Clinic and her prescription was not even accurate, and when they asked her what glasses she wanted they pulled out an over flowing tray of frame options. Previously she was allowed to choose from 3 military type issue glasses."
"All should carefully read the lengthy first-time paper work to sign in at the Meier Eye Clinic. Meier Eye Clinic double-charges for items that are already covered by my insurance company. They seem to want to get money from me for the same procedures the insurance company covers. They are being investigated by my insurance company now. The woman at the desk appears to be witnessing a bad car wreck while rudely directing to customers "her obsessive compulsive needs" for client eye appointments. When I asked about some of the items on the sheet, and expressed to her that the insurance representative and the insurance benefits booklet both state covered procedures, she falsely stated my insurance does not cover it. And the Dr. came out to support that false statement. I asked her to call the AARP UNITED insurance company. She put on her headset and even stated codes into her mouthpiece pretending to speak with the insurance agent. Later when I spoke with the insurance rep, she had me hold on the line while she spoke with the woman at Meier Eye Clinic. The secretary told the insurance rep that she looked on line and said the procedures in question were not covered -- she did NOT call the rep for verification as she stated to me. So she lied about the verification by calling the insurance co. too. The insurance agent and I both came away feeling slighted by this Meier Secretary who also came across as rude. The Dr.'s statements to me demonstrated his warped justification for the charges, and was in total allegiance with the secretary's statements . I gleamed this from his negative oration about how badly he is treated by insurance companies and how much time it takes to file and process all the paperwork -- it makes me wonder why he is in the insurance network for my company in the first place! There is more, but this read would get even more lengthy and too much to read. Just skip this one, there are plenty of reputable eye clinics in Portland."
"Christina at the desk has a horrified look on her face and told me on the phone I would be covered by my insurance for glasses and exam, but when I asked upon arrival, she said no. She is very robotic and rigid. I do not recommend this clinic."
"one of the few eye clinics that take ohp. i took my 5 year old son there and he was very helpful and treated my kid good without scaring him. that is very important. would definitely recommend if you are looking for an eye doctor that takes OHP."
