"Samuel Balin saved my life by asking me to go to the Johnson unit when my primary doctor Desmund Tee of Southtowne Clinic was not dealing with any of my medical problems. For three years Dr. Tee was playing psychiatrist with me and actively prescribed psych meds instead of fixing my physical needs. My two psychiatrists have quit due to Dr Tee’s meddling and Dr. Balin was the only doctor there at OMG who was smart and cared enough to save my life and send me to inpatient mental health services for critical help. Sometimes a doctor has to step up and do the right thing. Dr. Balin did that and saved my life. I almost ran in front of a car due to Dr. Tee’s tactics and I am not allowed in any of the OMG clinic locations now because Dr. Tee was investigated and had to try different treatments with me. When negotiations failed, he removed me from OMG because he was legally liable for failure to diagnose my physical symptoms. I now have a new doctor that has written me near onto 15 different referral requests in order to professionally meet my physical care needs and it feels great to be safe again. If you go to OMG and you have behavior health issues, go to Dr. Balin In Dermatology and tell him you saw this post and you need help. Don’t ever approach Dr Tee for primary care if you are mentally ill.And if you run into problems with other doctors at OMG with your mental health issues, which I did have problems with other doctors, also go to Dr. Balin in Dermatology and tell him. He will help you and keep you safe. Even if he is not your dermatologist. Dr Balin will save your life if necessary and he will get you to the mental health care you need. Dr. Balin will not prescribe psychiatric meds for you. Don’t let primary care doctors prescribe your psychiatric meds. Doctors like Desmond Tee are primary care physicians only. They don’t have the ability or knowledge to prescribe psychiatric meds. Unfortunately the Johnson unit is where to go in Eugene for emergency care. I apologize for this reality but don’t let primary care doctors like Dr. Desmund Tee hurt you because they want to screw with your psych meds. It isn’t worth the risk. I almost died several times doing that. Dr. Balin is safe and will help you stay safe. Riverbend sucks but it’s all we have until we can fix the medical issues here in Eugene and Springfield. If you don’t go to De.Balin for help, BestMed urgent care centers are also available for a safe place to go. Know that you will still end up at the Johnson unit. Hopefully Peace Heath, which the Johnson unit is affiliated with, will have the leave town soon. The conditions there are not good but it is the only inpatient facility here right now."
"Had an appointment for over 6 months have been coming to OMG and always have a fabulous experience! Not today. My appointment was for 2pm they swear up and down it was not and that it was for an earlier time . I am not accommodated for a later time to see if anyone cancels for that day or if anyone of is anyone doesn't show up even though I'm willing to stay an wait since I drove 45 mins ... I stead I'm asked to leave . So I pack up my 3 kids and we head back because of course we can afford a pointless trip at gas at this price."
"The staff was very pleasant, organized and helpful. My appointment was on time. The nurse, all smiles, took me into the examination room and check my vitals. Shortly, Dr. Balin arrived to complete my examination. He was very nice and informative. A great experience."
"Yes, it took at least a month to get in for a procedure, but well worth it. The office was spacious, spotless, and so friendly, that I scarcely wanted to leave. Lovely view out the window. I wish all my doctors were half this attentive , and kind. A first class clinic. Perhaps Dr. Sampson has made the difference."
"Dr. Cassiel I believe was her name very professional and helpful. She was running a few minutes late as doctors do and she even apologized when she came into the room. I figured I wouldn't get my follow up appointment for months because they are so full but they scheduled me for a month later. Super friendly receptionist as well."
