"An almost mystical sense of peace and prosperity is the feeling you'll have when you sadly leave your stay at the Highland Woods Group Getaway. We first came here about 12 years ago and slowly Jaime has brought the resort beyond anyone's expectations. The facility is beautiful and rustic yet has all the conveniences once might expect from a larger property. There is ample room to wander aimlessly yet the layout is conducive to group interaction. Depending on the room/unit type you select, you'll find just about any need to be met and those unanticipated needs are promptly addressed by the caretakers or the owner and her family. Airline service is available through North Bend, OR (OTH) which is about 45 miles away. Bandon, the closest town outside of Langlois has gourmet food shopping, fine restaurants, crabbing, charter boat service, art gallery, boutique and souvenir shopping. The wonderful town of Langlois, about 5 miles from the getaway, has a wonderful, eclectic restaurant and an amazing little grocery which rivals Trader Joe's, in its own way, not to mention their "world famous" hotdogs which have pleased hundreds of thousands of diners. If you are planning on purchasing your food or wine once you arrive, you will not be disappointed by shopping in either town. As mentioned above, the facility has been completely renovated and upgraded by Jaime over the years. Herb and flower lined pebble pathways wind from unit to unit. You'll find butterflies and humming birds walking alongside you as you check out the grounds. A very large gazebo is available for weddings, speakers or even dancing under the summer stars. Wildflower meadows cover the hill that hosts the pond. Fruit trees and evergreens are everywhere. If your family or other group is looking for a quiet yet modern location for a retreat, strategic planning meeting or other "off campus" experience, seriously consider the Highlands Woods Group Getaway. The owner or experienced (and empowered) caretakers will make every effort to accommodate any request or special need you may have."
