Whale Watchers Inn by Meredith Lodging

"Cozy, unpretentious, remarkable view and beach isn't crowded. No steps down to beach, rocks and boulders are challenging. Not quite handicapped accessible. 2nd floor needs double hand rails. Grab bars needed in shower. Do-able with a cane though. No washer/dryer so plan accordingly. Comfy beds. We had a marvelous time and it is close to some very good eateries. We loved it and would stay again."

"READ THE FINE PRINT! As mentioned in a previous review from 3 weeks prior, we were notified 5 days before our stay as well that the sliding glass door was "out of order" for Condo #2. Unfortunately, this is the ONLY window or accessibility to the beach/deck view and ocean sounds for this room. Also, their cancellation policy is 30 days prior to check-in, which at the point of hearing about this...it was too late... From Google, this has been broken for weeks, why didn't they notify us sooner about this to give us a chance instead of taking our $500 and cheating us out. I asked for any type of price reduction or accomodations for this circumstance, the customer service said they were "unable to give any type of refund". "Unable"? More like unwilling. This was the whole reason I booked this place for my wife's baby moon - to be right on the beach and be able to listen to the waves and have a relaxing weekend together. Overall, the rooms are decent, bed is comfortable, view is incredible, and the location was amazing. Customer service with Meredith Lodging - absolutely. sucked. Meredith, whoever you are...you should read up on what customer service and being a class act company is about, because you left one of the worst tastes in my mouth for a vacation."

"Overall good stay, downfall we were notified 5 days before our stay the slider door to balcony was out of order. The whole reason we pick this place was for the balcony oceanfront. This was condo 2 so beware before booking that it may not be fixed!"

"My husband and I wanted a relaxing getaway at the beach and decided on the Whale Watcher Inn. We were so happy we did! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the breathtaking view of the waves crashing on the beach. The view from our unit was amazing. Everything in the unit has been updated and is very cozy. Everything was clean upon our arrival and the unit was equipped with everything needed for our comfort. The Inn is walking distance to several restaurants, a bakery, an ice cream shop and coffee shop. The weather was great for an evening fire on the beach and we were able to enjoy one just a short distance from the room. Overall a very nice place for a getaway. We will definitely be back soon for another stay!"

"My recent visit to the inn was unforgettable. The exterior has that beach house vibe that I love. The interior was newly renovated when I made my visit down to Rockaway, and it looked beautiful. It was furnished with very nice furniture and the overall interior design had a modern style. Needless to say, it made my stay very comfortable. More importantly, the view was gorgeous. This inn sits literally right on the shores of the water, so the view was stunning. I was able to run out to the sand whenever I wanted to. If you want a place to stay that is clean, with a modern interior with a gorgeous view, this is the place to book."
