"Wouldn't want anyone else watching my girls.. All the teachers are very loving. My daughters have learned so much since being there. Been there almost 2 years."
"My daughter has attended Children's Discovery School for the past several years and now goes there for after-school care. I cannot thank Michelle and her staff enough for fostering my child's talents and providing her a great educational foundation. My daughter now sits at the top of her kindergarten class in reading, spelling, and math - primarily due to the direction and help she got in preschool at CDS. Add to that a convenient location, reasonable prices, and great families and we've been very happy."
"It's a shame google made me select at least one star, because this place isn't even worthy of half a star. As a fellow educator and pre school teacher for the last 12 years I am absolutely appalled at the way my nephews were treated at this daycare. Yes, I said daycare, as calling it pre school would be a blatant lie. The teachers are rude, grumpy and devoid of emotion. There is absolutely no structure and basically all the children are separated by 4 rooms where everyone just runs wild. My nephews are 3 and 5 and are mostly well behaved other than being "high energy boys" and by the third day there the director asked my sister in law to shorten their days because "it was stressing her teachers out to keep re-directing the boys all the time". Umm... what? They had never been in a school setting before and it was their THIRD DAY! Not to mention they hadn't even bothered to learn their names and constantly mixed them up. By the 10th day they sent home a handwritten note for each child describing in detail everything they did wrong throughout the day, most of which were normal behaviors for children not quite used to the structured setting of school (lifting up shirt, not sitting still, not eating, taking toys, etc). As if that wasn't bad enough, each bulletin point of "wrong behavior" had tally marks marking how many times the incident occurred. Please explain to me how someone has the time to do this with a full room of children and only two teachers? How is that effective teaching when you're focusing on one child who needs help and guidance more than anything? I also forgot to mention that on the day these notes were sent home, my brother went to pick the boys up early and the teacher actually said to him "thank you, you made my day!". I am absolutely disgusted with the way everyone in this facility behaved and have reported their actions to the state licensing department. Do not bring your children here, it's for their own good."
"This is a very high quality school for a very reasonable price. My daughter absolutely loved this school and still asks to go there when she has days off from kindergarten. They had her reading at 4. They serve healthy food and are very respectful to the kids."
"I'm still shocked at how much my kids love this place. What a great, happy, SAFE environment for little ones. It's so nice that the staff all have COMMON SENSE!!!"
