"Sad and creepy old mall haunted by the ghosts of retail past. Embarrassing & bizarre this mall even exists still There is a Ross- only reason to go..."
"If you want to see a mall with empty shop spaces this is it! I was once told that "the owners cater to a certain demographic" im pretty sure that demographic is senior citizens. which hey, if you own the building cater to whoever you want i say. I would probably cater to money. I dont own commercial buildings but i would think like maybe short leases with lower rent to at least fill the vacancies or something? again i know nothing about commercial real estate. There is a harbor freight now though and thats awesome. I havn't been inside the mall maybe twice in the last 4 or 5 years. harbor freight is on the outside."
"Humble Hippies is a neat stop across from Thrifty Sisters in the Pony Village Mall. They offer all gluten free drinks and goodies. They also feature local artists' products for affordable prices."
"This place use to be a hoping little mall back in the day, clean and lots of little restaurants and stores and now it is dark and dingy not very clean, the stores and restaurants are not advertised so you don't know if there is something new in there unless you happen to walk the whole thing. The parking lot has lots of potholes and what looks like lots of empty spots or closed businesses."
"I've lived in the Coos Bay/North Bend area for about 15 years and the Pony Village Mall has struggled with it's identity. It's really a nice mall inside...bright and always very clean. The issue is the retailers who rent space...not a big anchor store anymore...there are plenty of small boutique shops, cell phone vendors, a Joanne's Fabric store, Payless Shoes...movie theater... attached to but separate from the mall proper is a Big Five Sporting Goods, a Harbor Freight Tools and a pet supply store. I like shopping the mall when appropriate...always plenty of parking and never super busy. If any of the retailers left have something you need you won't go wrong checking this place out. They still host several community events here as well...trick or treating at Halloween and a big Christmas event are two I've attended...very well done...you can tell the people organizing the event and the mall staff actually care about what they are doing..."
