"Amazing store and very helpful staff"
"Purchased a PH/Moisture/Light meter reluctantly as it was the only solution at the Albany Home Depot for testing PH levels in soil. It was just under $8 and I should have trusted my instincts and passed over it. Upon its first and only use the prob tip remained in the soil upon pulling it out of the ground, tearing the probe tip leads. The return when easy, however I used a CC when purchasing. It is almost payday and my card is very close to being maxed, so much so that I cannot go and purchase an alternative elsewhere. It will take 1 business day to put the money back on the card. This is understandable, however it prevents me from doing what I want to do today. Other places like Lows will allow you to take cash in lieu of refunding on the card. Home Depot did not give that option. As I see it, if you are going to give shelf life to an item with no other alternatives, that item SHOULD be of unquestionable quality. If it is not, then it is your fault and you ought to compensate the customer (of whom you have just wasted precious time) in a manor that is accommodating. I had explained the issue to customer service and the response I got was "that's the way it is everywhere.""
