"Not really a park more like a commemorative sign area not even a Grassfield or anywhere to run a dog"
"Cute little park could use just a little maintenance"
"I grew up next to this park and it’s always been a joke. The entire street leading to it is unsafe for pedestrians with no sidewalk. The park is constantly in disrepair. It only gets maintenance once a year before the delegates from Japan come to see it. The vandalized stone carving is proudly displayed with no repair or explanation why it’s severe defaced. This is almost a reflection of the spirit of the whole town. This park is most functional as an open-air homeless shelter. There is an extremely unsafe and unfinished pedestrian bridge and a rock garden overgrown with tall grass and weeds. Also don’t believe the photos here. The park doesn’t look nice or groomed, ever. Also there’s no ocean or lighthouse at the park like the many photos here would indicate. Just a word of warning to tourists. There is absolutely no point to visit this park and the city should be ASHAMED of everything about it."
"Just a beautiful little park smack dab in the middle of Newport’s seaside neighborhood. Truly a peaceful place to come and it’s hardly ever occupied. Fairly small but lovely to walk around for peace of mind when needed."
"This is a cute tiny park with a bridge a path and a bench. There is a stone garden but it isn't kept up. Also there appears to be a guardian that hangs out there."
