"Shadywood Park is a quiet park within a nice neighborhood. Right next to Eastwood Elementary School. It's super doggy friendly with many doggy bag stans, in case you forgot your own doggy bags. There are many trails for you to walk your dog on. There are plenty of picnic areas throughout the park for many families to come and enjoy themselves with a nice little picnic or a BBQ. There are plenty of benches provided. There is also a pavilion that offers plenty of shade. There is also a playground right in the middle of the park for kids to play on. There are swings, slides, etc. There are plenty of activities for your kids to have fun. There is a restroom structure right next to the parking lot, for the public to use, as well as a public porta potty."
"If you enjoy seeing off leash dogs in taxpayer funded public parks that were actually intended for all to use then you will LOVE this park! There is an off leash dog (or two!) every time, and I mean that, literally every time we come to this park. Usually the dogs are close to the playground, or on school property playing fetch next to a large sign that says "NO DOGS ALLOWED BEYOND THIS POINT" So exciting and adorable! Keeps me and my small vulnerable children on our toes while we enjoy the playground!"
"Lots of trees and shade. Park has a nice network of paths. Playground is decent. Drainage swale runs through the middle of the park creating some ponding/flooding. It has potential to be better."
"Nice park to chill and relax at and enjoy your day playing horse shoes or field activities or letting the kids play around on the playground and swings. And you can have a BBQ there built-in to park that you can rent the covered picnic table for a party or r get together."
"A pretty basic no-frills park but as the name suggests, there are a lot of shady trees. An undercover shelter, lots of benches around, a decent sized play structure in the middle. A dedicated parking lot and other parking around the park as well. And a couple restrooms. That just about explains it!"
