"July 2022. My 2000 civic si was stolen from here, behind their locked gate that someone cut through to steal my car. I had it in there to get my windows fixed. Their cameras weren't working that week."

"I was very reluctant to make this review, but I feel this needs to be acknowledged. VIP fails to communicate with their customers, damage vehicles. In April 2023, I scheduled an appointment to take my car in for some exhaust work. I was very excited for my car to be louder. I got my car to VIP. The staff was pretty friendly, but that was as far as it went. Leaving my car at VIP, I assumed I would be provided with occasional updates (issues or delays) with what seemed like a simple installation. I was wrong. I understand there were multiple car builds/repairs also going on, but customers should be informed if an installation will take longer than "normal," especially for a scheduled appointment. Getting updates from this shop is harder than pulling teeth. I was never updated until the very end of the installation, which took longer than it should have. During the time I was waiting for my car to be finished, I had no clue what the delay was. I'd call, leave messages, and not get a return call. I had to go to the shop just to get updates! I finally got my car back after nearly 3 weeks. I was happy to finally drive her again. But, a few weeks later, while I was washing my car, I noticed a little crack in the paint on my hood. I pondered what could have caused it. I opened my hood to take a look, and right where my paint was cracked, there was an outward dent that looks like a dome that appeared to be caused by the hood being slammed shut too hard. This was the culperate. My car has been very good to me, so I rarely ever pop my hood, and when I do, I try to be as careful as possible. I knew VIP was responsible. During the summer months, I handwash my car at least once a week, and I would've noticed if this crack was there. It wasn't. I put a lot of trust into this shop with my car, which I haven't done before. As a car enthusiast, this was beyond frustrating! I shouldn't have waited so long to write this review, but PLEASE people (especially my fellow PNW car enthusiasts and neighbors), DO NOT take your vehicle here. You don't know if your pride and joy will get scratched, dinged up, or worse."

"Bit of a long story… had issues with a fuel pump, they diagnosed and repaired it in what seemed like a great amount of time. First time filling the car up it turns out the fuel tank was not sealed correctly and spilled gas all over at the pump, would have loved to take the car back to them to fix, but couldn’t get a tow across town with an open fuel cell. Needless to say someone else had to seal up the tank. Now the pump is causing fuses to pop so somewhere the pump got messed up too… Try and talk to them and it’s impossible. Never answer the phone, never respond to texts, left a message and was called back a week later. Trying to come to a fair resolution since another shop had to correct their work. Almost a week after talking to them and no word. I have no experience with their tuning and performance sides of the shop, I’m sure they are great from other reviews…. But for the less “interesting” maintenance you may be better going somewhere else."

"Couldn’t be happier. VIP is like walking into the first fast and the furious garage. I did a b18c swap into a 99 civic, towed it over for a Dyno and tune and drove back with a smooth running machine. What an amazing experience. Zack is an extremely talented mechanic. His recommendations made for a perfect build. HIGHLY recommend, especially if your car is custom."
