"I have been a root canal patient of Tualatin Endodontics for many years. Dr. James Walker is an exceptional endodontist. He is masterful in diagnosing and meticulous with treatment. He exercises the highest standard of care, including sanitation and health precautions, and the highest concern for patient comfort. He is eloquent in communicating a treatment plan and generous in listening to patient questions/concerns. Cost of treatment is detailed and transparent. State of the art medical equipment and procedures are in place. A professional, caring staff mirrors Dr. Walker’s high standard of patient care, on multiple levels. It is with deep respect that I sincerely recommend Tualatin Endodontics, and specifically James P. Walker, DDS, PC."
"Dr. James Walker (Tualatin Endodontics) is a highly qualified professional whom I trust not only with my dental health, but also my overall health. The sanitation and health precautions in his practice are exemplary, which remains vital in present times. As an immune-compromised person I feel safer and more confident in his office than ANYWHERE else I have been in the past 4 years. Literally. Dr. Walker treats his patients with respect. And his detailed, gentle care is the BEST experience I have ever had in my decades of dental/oral care. He explains everything fully and answers my many questions patiently, clearly, and honestly. His assessments are very thorough. I leave knowing what is going on in my mouth, what needs to be done, and with the estimated costs detailed in writing. I am very grateful for his care. I highly recommend Dr. Walker and his practice!"
"First, I had two root canals that were failing and causing infection. I had visited other offices and decided to wait for treatment until I found someone I could be confident in. I was being extremely critical at this point. I was even considering having my teeth pulled rather than risking more failed procedures, but luckily I found Dr Walker before doing that. When I met with Dr Walker I immediately got the sense that he takes his craft seriously, sets high standards for himself, and is a student of his craft. He is eager to share his reasoning and the details about the procedures. I've worked with many professional in different trades, and I can usually determine their skill level by how they talk about the process. Dr Walker was clearly highly skilled, so I decided to have him do the work. It is the first time I can remember in a long time actually feeling confident in a medical professional. His professionally and dedication is rare. As I expected and hoped, he performed the work like an expert. With my multiple issues I had 7 visits, so I really got to know the office. I also believe I got the honor of having the most difficult to remove post he's ever dealt with (he kept it to show other endodontrics). Even in dealing with that issue his approach was systematic and impressively patient. He is also really good about explaining what's going on during the process. Starting with the first visit I remember being rigid and tense, and by the last visit I was relaxed and calm. It is also worth mentioning that the support staff were very pleasant and relaxed. This tells me that not only am I getting quality service for myself, but I am supporting a business that treats employees with the respect and kindness they deserve. This is also clear in his communication with them during procedures as he is kind, patient, and calm. Finally, the office requires everyone, including their own staff, to wear masks until they are having work done. This doesn't surprise me. A medical professional that is dedicated to our health is going to create a healthy environment to do the work. Obviously I take comfort in knowing the staff is dedicated to reducing transmissible disease, especially when my mouth is open and they are sticking their hands inside. I also am comforted because it is obvious that sanitation and cleanliness are top priorities for this office. Now that I am all done I'm very glad Dr Walker did these procedures. When we were done with the last visit I thanked him and told him "that was about as close to a pleasurable experience as it could be". It seems impossible to quantify how valuable a person is who can resolve a health issue for us and leave us feeling confident to go on with our lives. For achieving that, I thank him and his team."
"Dr. Walker has no patience for people that are learning delayed or have slow processing. I found him rude and condescending. Not all disabilities are obvious. Don’t be so ignorant and pompous. UPDATE: A. Ms. Scroppo absolutely does have learning delays and a disability. I would have gladly shared her medical records and listed all medications for you before you started treatment. B. There was no yelling. We were there for less than 10 minutes. Your receptionist was very nice and mild mannered. Your calm demeanor did not negate your condescending and rude words. C. How were you going to treat my daughter’s tooth while she wore a mask?! D. Hospitals are not requiring masks, even in outpatient surgery waiting areas. E. I stand by my post. You were not able to see my daughter’s invisible disability. She has a processing delay. Before you walked out to the empty waiting room, where I was obligingly obeying your mask requirement and trying to convince my daughter to wear hers, she finally started to put it on. She finally placed it on her face, missing her nose. You walked out and immediately criticized her for that and you lost her. She has been through more turmoil in her short life than I imagine you have been through in yours. If you want to choose to battle someone with sensory issues over a mask, that is your choice. In protection of my daughter, I did question why masks are required in a dentist office, where mouths are open, but they’re not required in hospitals where they are cutting into people’s organs. Again. I never yelled. I rolled my eyes as you lectured us on the new Covid variant and vaccine. If your goal was to convince my daughter to don her mask, your method backfired hard. Pompous: Irritatingly grand and self important"
