"Dr Young has been our family dentist for over 15 years. Over the past few years his quality and attention to detail has plummeted. My last teeth cleaning left my teeth feeling like sand paper for weeks. His prices change with the weather and his follow ups on treatment programs are absent. In my case, not one call in two years. I finally called him when my temporary crown broke. I was forced to pay over $5000.00 for an extraction and a bridge last month. My wife has a similar complaint. She paid handsomely for a tooth repair and was recently told now that tooth needs to be extracted as well. Then, last weekend I had a dental emergency and was in massive pain. My wife contacted the office and got a call center. She was told they don't offer emergency weekend services nor referrals. I called again on Sunday and left a message begging for help. Monday I received a call from his assistant who said they were closed and I was put on his "do not treat" list following my complaint about about the "sand paper" on a survey they emailed me months ago. He was sure happy to take my money last month however. It took me two more days to find a dentist who could help me and I did. They fixed the problem for a very reasonable price and now I'm pain free and don't need a follow up. We're searching for a new family dentist and will not be returning to Gentle Dental. If you need emergency services, call the "Emergency Tooth Dr." on Stark St. They're reasonably priced and open seven days a week."
