"My husband and I were driving on the freeway in Portland, OR when we heard a ‘whoosh’ and our scratch/dust plate that covers the oil pan started dragging on the ground. (This happened before but we failed to get it replaced!) We limped into the nearest garage which happened to be a Jiffy Lube. Because they only do oil changes (at least I thought they did but now know they much more) I thought they might not be able to help us but they were our only resort. Otherwise we would have had to call AAA for a tow home. I walked in and told the manager the problem and he said they could get it up on a lift and see what they could do. It was around 4:30pm in the afternoon and I thought that they may be getting ready to close. (I found out they close at 5:30pm.) Manager Austin and his crew, Donovan, Declan and Anthony, assessed the situation and proceeded to put some zip ties and some clips through the plate to keep it in place to get us through our one hour ride home. When they finished I asked him how much I needed to pay him and he replied, "nothing." I was dumbfounded and asked several times to pay him and each time he refused. I thanked him profusely and told him that my payback was to write a five star review so here it is and well deserved. A nice bunch of guys who came to our rescue in a time of need. Thank you guys! And yes, I did get the dust plate replaced at another garage. Lesson learned!"
"They are thorough and polite. Can have a long wait depending on the time of day. Try to upsell which I don't love but understand that is the corporation's fault, not the workers."
"I had a very good experience with these guys. They were very thorough, highly professional, polite and friendly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's fairly expensive. This is not any reflection on the service staff, they were great."
"Very quick and very thorough. Got the oil changed and had lights polished. Diagnostic and brakes checked while we waited on a special oil filter. They even pointed out a few things I should get checked before my long trip next month. Made recommendations to a few good shops that could get it done. Friendly."
"Update: JiffyLube responded to this review and asked for me to email more info. I sent the email but have received no response. Initial Review: Hardly do I ever leave a bad review, even if the business isn’t great, I still try to be supportive but damn this Jiffy Lube earned it. I’ve lived down the street from this location for years and always brought my FJ Cruiser here. I moved away about a year ago and happened to be in the area when needing another oil change. Right away, the new staff felt less professional than the last time I was here. I should have listened to my gut an went elsewhere. They tried to sell me on things I don’t need (I work on my car a bit but rather let Jiffy Lube handle the fluids instead of trying to dispose them myself) and they even mentioned a “radiator cap pressure test”… that’s the red flag I missed. I finish up, leave, run a few errands nearby then head to the coast for the day. About 40 minutes down Hwy 26 I noticed something splash on my windshield that wasn’t clearing off like water. Then the smell hit. Followed by my temp gauge needle rising. Yup, they sent me on my way without a radiator cap, or at least one that wasn’t properly reinstalled onto my radiator. After going back and forth on the phone, their “regional manager” approved it for one of their workers to come drop off a new cap and coolant. I was 40 minutes away, but waited well over an hour. Yes, fortunately my engine didn’t overheat and blow up but that wasn’t far out of reach. Do yourself a favor and go to a better location, with staff that seems more professional. Josh was the manager on duty and Kenny was the guy that made it to me with the radiator cap."
