Shreveport Dog Park

"This park is nice and big and if you have an active dog that likes to play catch then this is a good place to take them. The water fountain is broke and has been for about 2 months but the hose works. It has a pond so if your dog likes to swim and cool off they have that and they have bags on site to pick up any waste your dog may leave."

"Coming from a bigger city, where we frequently used the largest dog park in the metro, I was quite surprised with how good this dog park is in Shreveport. There’s a smaller park with a small pond for little dogs. And then the larger main park for all other sizes with a much larger pond (gator proof) and a walking track. Usually stocked with plenty of waste bags. Our dearly departed lab retriever loved swimming in her old age. Our current dogs love sprinting and the rolling hills break their line of sight enough to give them stimulation just running around and exploring. I was going to give this 4 stars for lack of trees. But a covered rest area and a large trees outside of the park create some shaded areas. This park is definitely better than the one we left in our previous home city and i gave that one a 4."

"This is a great dog park. It's not huge, but the pond and attached dog wash station make it a really great place to visit. My pups always have a blast and crash hard for the rest of the day."

"Beautiful scenery alongside the river. Walk there at least 3 days a week. Would give 5 stars but a part of the walkway has been broken and closed off for over 2 years"
