"Local Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation Park with playground and mostly shaded, hilly walking path."
"There was an annual festival in the park Saturday . It is the Jazz and Blues Festival , and they have it on the third Saturday of September every year . It's a FREE event ! There are mainly local groups but usually a couple from out of town . As with most of the local festivals , I volunteered. Wish I would have been able to take some photos , but there are plenty that others took on fb .In the 70s Columbia was the old hippie park for Shreveport . Spent most of my time there and even relocated to be near all the fun !"
"This park could really use some donations and some contributions so the children in the area will have a safer and happier environment. I never see children Playing in this park. It's across the street from a school, however it's not in the best area. Homeless people are likely to be hanging around, and that may make people uncomfortable. People need to come together as a community and make a real change in this area. There should not be people wandering the street because our government is not taking actions and helping these people. While democrats and republicans sit in their nice homes and aren't missing meals people around here are unable to pay their bills buy groceries and its really a shame. How is this country or really this part of the country just going to let a city in United States is actually on Google as "Ratchet City". This park looks the defenition. Google it if you don't know"
